AURORA - Ten people are dead after a shooting at the Century 16 Movie Theaters at the Aurora Town Center.

There were at least 39 people injured to Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates.

Nicole Williams, with Swedish Medical Center, says the hospital was allerted to a mass casualty incident at 1:15 a.m. Friday.

Williams says the hospital was told to prepare for at least 20 patients.

According to witnesses, the shooter kicked in the emergency exit door in theater 9, threw some sort of disorienting smoke bombs and started shooting.

The Aurora Town Center is in the 14000 block of East Alameda Avenue in Aurora.

There were two gunmen. One has been arrested. The other is suspected to be hiding in a nearby mall. Some report said they found two unexploded IEDs. Not sure if this is true though.

Lemmydamn, I hope that's not true. My girlfriend and I just got out of the downtown showing and there were at least 30 cops on the scene. I knew something was fucked up, but never could've dreamt of this. Sad night here in Denver, my sympathies go out to all the victims and their families.

Dude was wearing a bullet proof vest and was arrested with a 'rifle' and a handgun. I hope no one else dies from this, horrible shit.

Police Chief Dan Oates has given a account of what happened during the attack. "Approximately at 12.30 this morning a gunman appeared at the front of one of the theatres in the Century 16 theatre," he said. "Witnesses tell us that he released some sort of canister. They heard a hissing sound and a gas emerged and then we know that the gunman opened fire."
