to have that many bands play before the 10 p.m. curfew, the show would have to start in the middle of the afternoon which just isn't practical for a Friday. I don't know if that had anything to do with it but it makes sense to be able to get people out there for the opening bands.

I just feel bad for the young'uns who are gonna wanna see Nails/Xibalba/Twitching Tongues but won't get to. I'm not sure there's that many people under 21 who'd wanna see The Killer so in that sense having them play the 21+ day kinda makes sense.

Fairly disappointed with this year's lineup. (We've had lineups that were way better such as the year when Most Precious Blood played.) Only bands I give a fuck about are Xibalba and Crown of Thornz. Wouldn't mind seeing The Killer or Weekend Nachos again, but it's not like they haven't played here in awhile. All in all, probably won't even bother going to the Friday date. $20 for a ticket and fee's, plus no room to "mawsh" and spilled beer all over the floor kind of doesn't drum up to be worth it. Will probably end up going to the Saturday date.

This backlash against the Friday show being at a bar is uncalled for.

Fuck no. Simply walk into the venue, drop your ID in front of the dude at the table and "BOOM you're in Bro".

Pick Me Up Cafe:
Poser "vegan" food with a side of shitty service. (They've actually admitted their food isn't vegan.)

Wouldn't really expect a chicken breast sandwich with goat cheese to be vegan...
It doesn't say anywhere in the restaurant or on the menu that they're a vegan restaurant.
Also, I've always had friendly servers, and good conversations with them.

That's all good and fine as for the service bit. Claiming certain dishes as "vegan" when they're not? That's an entirely different story.

Agreed. Or, Pequods. Pequods has a really good lunch special.
Also, apparently I'm the weirdo. I'm far more excited for the Friday show.
