Baseball season is finally here and for most of us Southern Californians (and displaced fans around the country and world) that means one thing and one thing only, Dodgers baseball. MLB's Opening Day kicked off Thursday, but who cares about that? We all know the real Opening Day isn't til Tuesday. Time to pull your jerseys out of the closet, break out the ice cold beer, fire up the Dodger Dogs, flip the am radio to 570, and turn on the TV to KCAL9 or Prime Ticket and hear that all too familiar and lovable voice that belongs to none other than the legendary Vin Scully.

This is the time of year where we spend days/nights at Chavez Ravine and take in the beautiful sights of the clear blue skies and hills just past the outfield parking lot (or the hills in the tank top or jeans of some firme ass hyna walking up/down the aisle). Time to put up the windshield sun shields and pregame in your car in the parking lot hoping you don't get spotted by the LAPD through your tinted windows, or pregame at the fire academy for the ones who don't mind walking up the hill to get inside, or hell, pregame on the way to the game for those of us that just don't give a fuck. Time to sing 'Take Me Out to The Ball Game' two times during the 7th inning stretch because Dodger fans don't need some bullshit ass There's Something About Mary 'Build Me Up Buttercup' singalong to get the crowd into the games like that team down the 5 freeway that resides in that rat infested shithole of a stadium in some imaginary land called 'los angeles of anaheim'.

The stench that is frank mccourt's bostonian ass is finally out of the owner's office, and in his place is Magic Johnson, Stan Kasten and Guggenheim Partners CEO Mark Walter. Together they make up the NWO GBM - Guggenheim Baseball Management.

Our NL CY Young winning ace Clayton Kershaw is looking to have a repeat year. Matt Kemp said fuck the hebrew hammer and Jay Z's 40/40 club and is going for 50/50 and MVP this year. And Dee Gordon's flattop will soon be in peak form as the season progresses.



As of now the Dodgers have started the season 3-0, and are looking for a sweep today in the 4 game season opening series down in san diego against NL West division rivals, the padres.

- If Ethier / Kemp stay healthy AND consistent
- If Dee Gordon, Tony Gwynn Jr continues to develop / come along
- If Kershaw stays healthy and true to form
- If Billz becomes the pitcher we all thought he would be four years ago
- If Rivera, Uribe produce the way we hope

Then yes, I expect us to do something. Those are a lot of ifs but this is baseball and stranger things have happened. It also doesn't hurt that we are in kind of a weak division.
