Just got an email back from Hughs Handbuilt. I am looking into having him do a full engine rebuild on the XS. 750cc kit with a 277 rephase, ported and polished, with a 5th gear overdrive.
Also, finding a local paint guy who is comfortable doing metalflake is proving to be a real pain in my ass.
well let me help kick it off. i just recently got a Contour Roam helmet camera and decided to film a little ride around my area. i edited some clips together with music just to make it more interesting to watch.

Sup xs650's?
Found this one on xs650.com the other day. I still have a swingarm, but want to eventually hardtail. Just don't know how to weld. Or own a welder. But either way, next winter I want to find some shop around here and have them put a 0 stretch david bird hardtail on. This is exactly what I want it to look like someday: [resize]http://www.xs650.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=346&pictureid=5857,580[/resize] Love short rigid bikes.
Had the exhausts off, because my lift won't rest on the frame with them on, but anyway. Tc bros lane splitters, all the stock gauges and bulky lights removed. Spray paint job, PO's homemade seat, and just put some lowering blocks on the progressive shocks. Only been riding a year now, but in that time have got a bike together I'm pretty happy with: [resize]http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/64658_2848482850784_1220820324_32381825_772376850_n.jpg,580[/resize].
But yeah people. Let's see some pics of what you're riding.
Over the winter, I changed up my sportster. It looked like this: [resize]http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b32/NinjaLane/41002_459294156006_562506006_6698240_2597478_n.jpg,580[/resize] Now it looks like this: [resize]http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b32/NinjaLane/photo.jpg,580[/resize] Obviously this was before I got my new seat.
heres an old pic of my 99 zx9r (with the gold Micron can that I just sold on ebay): [resize]http://i.ebayimg.com/t/ZX9R-MICRON-exhaust-can-98-99-zx9r-ZX9-bolt-on-kawasaki-ninja-sportbike-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/$(KGrHqF,!qcE88ftRRk(BPSb+FVpng~~60_58.JPG,580[/resize] I have a shortened Yoshi carbon fiber pipe on now that looks and sounds way better, I just need to detail the bike and take new pics. F yes to spring weather

that first pic is similar to what I'm aiming for with my build. I have a TC Bros hardtail. It is stretched 5 inches though, because I'm 6'2 and I didn't want to be cramped.
Here is the bike in its current state. I posted these in the old thread the other day.
The tank, and bars are not what I am using, I just slapped them up there for a mock up. I will be using an Indian Larry 3 gallon dished tank, and either Lowbrow Frisco bars, or Nash's Looky Looky bars. I am also extending the forks 2" and shaving the lowers, as I'm not planning to run a front brake. I also have 18" and 21" spoked wheels that I'm gonna run as well.

I'm doing rootbeer and pagan gold flake. My friend Jeff is giving me his paint guy's number. He does amazing flake work. I will give it to you next time I come in the shop.

I'm a big fan of the Honda CB series for a first bike. They're widely available, affordable, cheap and simple to fix, and they're fun bikes. They also make great choppers and bobbers with some time and money put into them. I'd suggest checking Craigslist for cb750s in your area.

Excellent friendo, trying to get this project up and running before mid summer. I'm dragging serious ass right now.
Does any one know of any motorcycle message boards that have a B9 feel to them. I want to start learning as much as I can since I am getting my license next week and I want to start learning as much as possible.

Is this EFI? Did you switch tanks or just paint? Hard to tell at the angle of the picture

The only bags I really like are the hard bags with the roll bar around them, but with my bike itll look way to easy rider esq. Thank you, ill check them out.

No EFI, but I switched all the tins and then painted them because it was an 03 "Anniversary Edition" paint job, and the fuckin ese that was helping me redo my bike was CONVINCED the awkward HD paint job was worth $$$. I really don't think they're worth anything.
My friend is also completely restoring and cafe-ing his rd350 he just finished powder coating his case and engine covers. go to Nori Customs on facebook and you can see progress. Let me know if you have any questions about your rd. 2 strokes tend to be easier than 4 strokes...less technology, unless you have electrical problems, then shit blowwwssss.

I'm going to have to take it somewhere to see what all is wrong with it but I'm doing all I can on my own first. I cleaned the tank, bought new brake pads, cleaned the carbs and I'm trying to figure out how to set the points but I need a gauge for that. The headlight works so I'm hoping that the rest of the electrical is still good.
The chopper from the Walking Dead is seriously what I've always wanted for a bike. [resize]http://www.imcdb.org/i349098.jpg,580[/resize] A black hard tail Triumph, mustang tank, mini apes, tall front end. Just would replace the ss bolts with some mini black flag bars. Such a cool fucking bike. Also best character on the show.
