I must admit I haven't read the books, but my boyfriend has been reading them lately and telling me about them. I've seen some promotional videos of the series and it looks like it could have the potential to be the best series ever. I'm really looking forward to the 17th!

I've been contemplating trying to read the first book before the series start but I don't know if I have the time. convince me that I should do it!

Im really hoping for book 5 comming out but Ive seen how jaded other fans are after it being slated for release mutliple times and being let down. Pumped on the show as well. I hope I'm not let down.

I downloaded in the name of the wind audio book - Ill probably listen to that in a bit I wanted to take a break from fantasy i think im going to read that death troopers star wars book its only 7 hours audio book.

i love the way the story is told. reading storm of swords now.
i love the characters in this book.

tyrion lannaster is my favorite character. followed closly by jon snow. who's everyone's favorite?

Jaime Lannister's character is pretty toomey. i started out just flat out loathing him, but by the end of the fourth book he is probably my favorite, second only to Tyrion.

Trying to be spoiler free since coa is in storm -
Tyrion is def my favorite very sad he is absent from feast.

I liked eddard a lot I felt like he was a man of unwavering integrity - until he was in jail when they broke him I knew he was going to die soon after that.

I fucking hate catlyn I liked the shit being told from her point of view but she is such a bitch

For some reason the daenerys parts I always grown at, at the beginning but then end up liking.

Im also a big beric dondarrion fan even though hes not a major character.

As for Jamie i felt the same way I hated him but now he is toomey I kind of feel like he has replaced eddard with atleast trying to be integrous.

Jon Snow, definitely. Basically consigned to an even harsher existence for something that wasn't even his fault. Loved the story arc of the events north of the wall.

Started the series when I was 13, I've waited so many years for this shit to finish up. I hope he doesn't die before it does and they have to get some shittier writer to do it.

My favourite characters are Sandor Clegane and Jaime. Sean Bean as Eddard will rule.

Favorite books ever. I seriously recommend a re-read after you finish them. There is an insane amount of things you'll discover the second time around. Storm of Swords is probably the best book I've ever read.
Fav characters are Tyrion, Arthur Dayne, Arya, Sandor, Doran Martell, the Red Viper and about thirty other dudes. Also, Bronn is a badass.
