Will be buying a Playstation 3 just for this game. Cannot express how excited I am about this. Has anyone watched the gameplay videos? Who's going to be your team?

actually the lead developer Niitsuma just did an interview explaining why certain characters aren't in the game.

Ken - it was either Ken or Akuma. Akuma made the cut
Gambit - Capcom wanted it, Marvel said no
Frank West - He was in the game and in the Episode 2 trailer as the Helicopter Pilot, but they had to cut him from the game
Phoenix Wright - they want him in, he's high up there on the possible future DLC list
Megaman - they'd have to give him new attacks to make him original, but they wouldn't be true to megaman, so they passed on him. since there are already characters in the game that do what megaman can do and they are really focused on not having clone characters.

Fucking Akuma over Ken? Goddamn it. Well, guess I'll be using Akuma. I try to at least play with one Street Fighter character (usually Ken). Kinda bums me out.

Akuma was the first capcom character to "crossover" in a Capcom made Marvel game. He was a secret character in X-Men: Children of the Atom. Then a secret character in X-Men vs. Street Fighter. Cyber-Akuma in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Then we got Ryu in Marvel vs. Capcom 1, when you turn on Dark mode he pretty much turns into Akuma, same moves and everything. Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Akuma was playable.

I'd also like to point out that regardless of whether or not Akuma has the worst health in this game, I will still wreck his shit every time I practice because of him costing me Ken Masters.

Really? I don't get that from the videos (I haven't been able to attend any of the play-tests). It kinda looks like it's a little faster than TvC, but not nearly as fast as MvC2.

As for my main team I'm thinking Haggar, Zero, and either another rushdown or zoning, maybe Arthur for keep-away, not sure yet. I'm not particularly good with grappling characters, but it's fucking HAGGAR.

I dunno, MVC3's Akuma raging demon seems to have full invincibility like most level 3's and he can just bust it out when you go for an attack.
