General discussion, shows, and everything else.

This thread is specifically about those of us who like to play around with film, from fancy SLRs to toy cameras to neat point & shoots you've found at Goodwill.
Post your favorite shots, cameras, printing techniques, etc.
No care if you're "good" or not, this thread is about fun with film.
Some recent/not so recent ones I've taken:
Vivitar NP2011 Panoramic

Contax RTS

Today I'm planning on building a little matchbox pinhole and fucking around with that. Should be fun!

For some weird reason, I don't like scanning the stuff I shoot on film. I'd rather just print it and let the digital stuff be digital.

I have tons of undeveloped rolls. I live in the middle of nowhere, so there's no place I can develop them anytime soon, and I'm too afraid to mail them because I don't want them to get lost. some of them are even four years old!
here's some point&shoot ones I did last year though:

Hey people! All of these prints are amazing, but you should talk about them too. What kind of camera/film did you use? Where were they taken?
Let's make this a discussion thread as well.

Let's make this a discussion thread as well.

The camera I used for all those pictures was a NikonN80.
The film I used was usually Fujifilm 200 through 400max.

First photo was taken off the boat which was docked at Miami Beach, and I decided to take photos for my sister's 15th birthday. No edits I just had her to stand up at the tip of the dock of the boat while I sat below her and caught her just in time when the wind passed on by her.

Second photo was taken in a truck crate which was part of an installation during Art Basel week and the colors came out awesome with a little grain.

Third photo was taken at the top of the pier at St. Petersburg which was named "The Pier" and it was around noonish so the colors came out quite crispy.

Fourth photo was taken in the dinning room on a cruise and they surprised my grandma for her birthday. The colors came out awesome no filter used or edited whatsoever. Best photo I've ever developed without any problems.

Fifth photo was taken once again at Art Basel which was another installation in a truck crate. I thought at first I had messed it up with the development because it came out blurry but then I realized my shutterspeed was quite slow when I took it since the room had low lighting and it came out like that but nevertheless I love it.
haha, I know a lot of info

Nice! And that's a hell of buy. What lens do you use for it? because I know there's like a specific lens you can use for it which would make the colors and quality really nice.

Nah, it actually came out like that because the film expired sometime in the 90s but I used it anyways. It was my dad's camera in the 1990s and there was a roll in it and I was just finishing it out... there was a picture of my sister in 4th grade (and she's a junior in high school now) so the film was just mad old, but I still liked the look.

High contrast. The focus isn't really this bad,
scanners just don't help.

Word, I still like it. I haven't really used any expired film but by looking at your photos I'm convinced to do so sometime soon in the near future.

The same way people saw photos before the internet, I suppose.
If I want something online, I'll shoot it digitally. If it's something I know I want to print, I'll shoot it on film.
I will admit, it's kind of weird, but it makes sense in my head.

why not do both? you can have film developed straight to cd, and you get negs, meaning you have a digital copy as well as you can make prints of what comes out... around here i pay 2.99 to have film developed to cd and then whatever prints i want are done later. it strikes me as the most economic method of photography short of doing it all yourself, which i have yet to learn.
