Desaparecidos post first new songs in a decade

Desaparecidos, the short-lived punk/post-hardcore act formed by Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst around the turn of the century, have posted two new songs, their first fresh material in a decade. Check out "MariKKKopa" here courtesy of The Huffington Post and "Backsell" via altpress.com. The songs make up a two-track 7" that will be released tomorrow on the band's website. They've booked a few tour dates as well, which you can scope below.

The band last released Read Music/Speak Spanish in 2002 on Saddle Creek before going on hiatus that same year. They reunited in 2010 to play the Concert For Equality in Omaha, NE, reconvening with more activity this year.
