That backstreet boy post is really unnecessary. I don't think anyone has been stupid enough to post something as asinine from the inception of this thread. Congratulations, you're officially douched out.

Anyone know anything about the new Profanatica?

Anyone know anything about this movie? it seems to be getting universally good hype.

They showed it a few weeks ago in Tucson, AZ but I left the day before it showed. I had a friend go and he seemed to dig it. I been keeping an eye out for a leak.

girl from sleater-kinney gave it a pretty bad review, but mostly hates on the directors.
http://www.npr.org/blogs/monitormix/2009/06/review_until_the_light_takes_u.html

but on imdb there's this:
"There was also a scene where Frost was taking part in an art exhibit in Milan, where he was breathing fire onto some art hanging on a wall, followed by him knifing up and destroying a couch, followed by him slashing his wrist (down the road, not across the street), and slitting his throat on the destroyed couch"

Slugathor - Echoes From Beneath (2009)

This album is mandatory in my opinion. No bullshit death metal, turn it up.

I really don't think it'll be bad at all, hopefully more informative and fact based as the whole scene seems to be steeped in legend and exaggeration. I'm not nuts about the original black metal bands, but as a fan of metal, and from a sociological point of view, it's certainly worth seeing. I'm pretty suprised it's not being screened in NYC though. Pretty dumb. There's also something allegedly in the works with one of the asswipes from the movie "twilight". I really don't want to talk about that.

Would it be safe to assume the shirts they have for sale are smaller than the size posted? Some shirt sizes vary by brand. What brand of shirt is yours printed on? I thinking about ordering a couple from them.

Damn, I just put in an order late last night for a shirt. Hopefully they have it in stock as the size I wanted was listed as available. Have you bought any shirts from them prior to ordering the Incantation one?

Did you get the same email as this?

'Hi, thanks for the order. sorry to say but we are all out of the Asphyx shirt in your size. we will be getting more in a few months. so I'm not sure if you are ok with waiting or you might want something else in it''s place. I very sorry for the problem.
thanks
John'

This makes we wonder how long a 'few'months' will be.

no I haven't ordered previous to this. I was not sent an email, I only found out when I logged into my ibex store account that they were out of stock. Then I got in touch with them via myspace and got the explanation you did. They seem to have a better handle on it now. As far as waiting, it's been a while for me and they were supposed to have more at the end of August. I can't get that shirt elsewhere so I'm going to wait. There is a backorder on the site for my item so I'm sure I will get it. I'll be super pissed if they forget about me though.

i still have a little hope for it.they're saying it's going to be a teen drama (remember how young they mostly were at that point) directed by the guy that directed "suicide cirle (suicide club), which technically is also a teen drama.

Axis Powers-Born for War. Early comps. Answered my own post. And from now on, if you're going to bother commenting on how good something is, why don't you take the time to post a link as well.

You may be skeptical about this because their new one was a bit of a let down. Don't let that shit stop you, it's pretty raw.

For anyone interested in my ongoing t shirt saga, Ibex just got ahold of me on myspace and although the email is a bit unclear, I'm pretty sure it states that the shirt will be in the mail as soon as they get around to packing it. It's shitty that they let you place an order when they don't have stock on an item. I'm assuming they play it fast and loose judging by the dude who ordered the Asphyx shirt. I'm sure they refund quickly, but a real time stock calculator would really be the best way to go. That whole "would you like to substitute something" thing sucks!

Yeah that's the correct shirt.
I seen those also but I'll be needing a 3XL. I'm naturally taller bigger fella and don't want the 2XL due to the fact that they are too short for me length wise, plus I like a little room. I did some searching and emailing and this seems to be the only place to get what I'm looking for.

I have absolutaly nothing with black metal.. but back in the days i kind of enjoyed their albums, wether it was pure holocaust, blizzard beast, battles in the north or at the heart of winter, it always had something.
Haven't listened to this yet, im verry curious how it is going to be.

Scared the hell out of me when they signed to prosthetic, I did like the earlier stuff though.

Death Dealer who posts on this board just stated on his blog that he is afraid he, like a whole bunch of other blogs, will be deleted. It hasn't happened yet, but it may (and would totally suck as the majority of his posts are excellent, old and new). If anyone can recommend some good blogs, I'd appreciate it. Some of my mainstays i.e. Classic Extreme, have been wiped the fuck out. It's not just for the upcoming posts, some of these blogs were a wealth of great shit. Anyone who frequents any comprehensive blogs, please, let me in on what they are.

thanks!

Yeah it sucked when Classic got deleted. There was alot of great shit on there. I myself have been searching for some good blogs. I've been stuck in a BM mood for the last month, so Atilla The Hun, Black Metal Dungeon and Depressive Black Metal have become a mainstay. So, yeah I am also looking for a good DM blog..

http://canalla-metal.blogspot.com/ has good stuff every now and then.

Also, I saw a band Rape Pillage and Burn in Decibel. Any good?

What are the good current death metal bands that play old school death metal.

In vein of Ascended or Morbid Angel worship.

If you frequent a lot of metal blogs, you're probably already familiar with this one. If not, there is an INSANE amount of uploads there. I found it three months ago and have still only made it through about half of the previous posts.
