And I use blackmetalradio.com to find new stuff, then use the black metal blogs.

The only band I've been able to stomach that does something similar is Amorphis. And that's only on Tales from the Thousand Lakes. Karelian Isthmus is a better record though.

death metal is all about being "br00tal", black metal is all about keyboards and pretty makeup (some black metal bands can pull off keyboards), thrash metal is becoming trendy, and power metal has always been a joke.
