Shit’s a work. It’s a setup for Elgin to turn on Cobb. He was already getting booed in PWG before this, now those people will be whining extra hard

If this is legit its just more proof that hes really up his own arse. Love how he's got a such a fragile ego, getting up about how Cobb prefers hanging with the War Machine boys! He don't have a lot of luck with social media does he? Or communication in general.

watching hayabusa/shinzaki vs. rvd/sabu for the first time in years. what a slop-fest this is, awesome atmosphere, still a real fun "dream match"

rvd just creaming those poor guys with van-daminators, sucks the tables werent cooperating for them.

Had you guys ever heard of Paul Heyman trying to book Kobashi & Misawa in the US? Potentially at Heat Wave 99 if i'm remembering right? My teenage mind would have exploded

Some stuff I've watched over the past few days. I'd seen the AWA, dog collar and Liger matches before:

The Midnight Rockers vs. Buddy Rose/Doug Sommers AWA 8/30/86 ****3/4
This is one of the best American tag matches ever. Bloody, great story, Rockers look great.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x28oa76

El Hijo Del Santo vs. Brazo Del Oro UWA 1/13/91 ****1/2
This rocked!!! A good lucha brawl that didn't drag or anything, escalating action, blood, lots of good stuff. Lucha still has a disconnect for me, but this one has no issues. This may be obvious to people who watch more than me, but El Hijo Del Santo is, at this moment, clearly my #1 lucha guy.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xy4ci

Takada vs. Fujiwara UWF 10/25/90 ****1/2
Shoot style is another style that is hard for me to completely get into. Not sure why, I love guys like Shibata and I think the style can really work and mesh with other styles, but straight up stuff like Rings and UWFI, while good, never completely hits the mark for me. This was great, though.

Spoiler: show

Jushin Liger vs. Shinjiro Otani NJPW 2/9/97 ****1/2
One of the better 90s jr matches. Thought about rating it higher but it didn't completely have that next gear all the way through. Still, great match was an epic finish.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2dgi4l

Roddy Piper vs. Greg Valentine Dog Collar Match NWA 11/24/83 ****1/2
This is legendary, and it should be. Just pure hatred and violence all the way through.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3kdth3

El Hijo Del Santo vs. Brazo Del Oro was the real surprise tonight. It rocked

As a tape-trading dork of a freshman at the University of Dayton at the time, I would have lost my shit. Instead we got Bubba Ray Dudley absolutely destroying the crowd on the mic, and a "meh" of a match between Taz and Tajiri.

This was from ECW Exposed 2, and it was actually going to be Heat Wave 98*****. So i guess Hayabusa/Jinsei was a backup? I wish they revealed why it didnt work out, id love to know how far along the planning got

James McKenna of ProWrestlingSheet.com posted a mockup of what WWE wanted Neville to originally look like. A few years back, there were reports that WWE wanted to give Neville a "Mighty Mouse" superhero-like gimmick.

More stuff from the past few days.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Misawa/Kobashi vs. Taue/Kawada 6/9/95 *****+

I wasn't planning on watching this so close to the other big tag, since this poject is going to be lonnnnnggg, but I randomize everything and it popped up, so I threw it on. This is the favorite for #1 match ever. It is so ingrained in my head that I don't see anything beating it. There is SO much going on here. I won't spoil a single part of it, but if you haven't seen it, you need to. All you need to know going in is that Misawa has a broken eye socket and Kobashi has a messed up leg. Magnificent.

Spoiler: show

Meiko Satomura vs. Aja Kong GAEA 9/15/99 ****3/4

Have my joshi guys seen this? It is really great! I've seen some of their other matches, but never this, their first. The perfect rookie vs. monster vet story. Satomura has noooooo chance at all... until she does! Satomura is very believable, and I especially like how limited her moveset is here. It plays into the story very well.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2hkqoq

Torneo Cibernetico Negro Casas/Atlantis/Ultimo Dragon/El Dandy/Mascara Magica/Shocker/La Fiera/Brazo De Oro vs. El Hijo del Santo/Dr. Wagner, Jr./Felino/Scorpio, Jr./Black Warrior/Kevin Quinn/Satanico Silver King CMLL 4/18/97

This is the best lucha match I've seen so far. The El Hijo Del Santo vs. Brazo De Oro match was more fun, but this was overall better. Lots of fast action and cool matches, with a story woven throughout, too. I've seen this before but it was much better this time, which I have a little more appreciation for it.

Spoiler: show

All companies need to film shit like that Riptide Wrestling. The show with Keith Lee vs Matt Riddle vs Jimmy Havoc just got put on XWT. It's such a sweet way for wrestling to look, idk if it's the FPS or what it is but this shit is great. PWG shows would be like twice as good if they were filmed like this.
