let's really get to the bottom of this

i would like to maintain my fencewalking bullshit position that they're a goofy band with some good songs and real easy (too easy) to make fun of

I dk if I'd say good songs but it's like pop music it's easy to listen to maybe even catchy at times while still very embarrassing. The old rhcp that I've heard was utterly unbearable some of the worst music I've encountered

I want to say the 2 have actually done multiple late night appearances together, amping up the resemblance and basically having a good time with it.

That said, he really was pissed at the dude and tried to save face by coming back and throwing "funny barbs" at the dude. I bet he didn't expect to hear someone yell that at a "musician institute" where he's in a room full of musicians.

captainsunshine wrote:otherside is basically just an incubus song. the only thing complimentary about it is the fact that it is subdued compared to some of their other hits and doesnt have any stupid funky breakdowns or anything. otherwise it is a pretty mediocre radio song from its time

Leave Incubus out of this

Man there are few Incubus songs I don’t hate and I would occasionally listen to, but then I realized they have a song called Battlestar Scratchlatchtica on that Make Yourself album and I just couldn’t do it anymore.

I unabashedly still enjoy Incubus. Their last album has like 3 good songs, which is a better average than I would anticipate these days. I saw them 2 years ago with Deftones and the drive there took 4 hours because of a dumb fire on the NJ turnpike. Maybe that was my punishment for still enjoying Incubus.

If that car accident that killed the singer of Snot had killed Anthony Kedis instead, we'd all be in way better shape today.
