I fucking love Stefon. It made it even better watching that SNL special a few years ago and Bill saying how writers would add things onto the cue cards without telling him and that's why he had such a hard time keeping it together sometimes

And Mulaney would say stuff to him RIGHT before he went out to put him on tilt.

Off the top of my head I'd say Hader is top ten. Dude did legit everything. He could be understated, the straight man, and still be funny. And then there's his character acting which I'd say is without a doubt top ten taken attribute by attribute. He routinely killed it as the lead in sketches and was just as good facilitating other people.

Philadelphia (Tom Hanks) action figures, classic.

not all that into the new cast, but maybe i'm just old. sometimes it just seems more like a variety show with cute comedy than a sketch show.

i feel like they tend to squander their best talent. Jay Pharaoh was criminally underused on his run on SNL.

i remember on a very old episode of comedy bang bang john mulaney (who wrote most of the stefon stuff) gave bill hader a black and white headshot picture of taylor negron with a note on in it that said "dear bill, thank you for not making fun of me on tonight's episode, love Taylor Negron" and then of course snuck a Taylor Negron joke into the cue cards right before air haha

That's probably a little too high, considering the greats that have passed through SNL. He's top 15-20 though.

just saw this and 100% disagree with all of my being. no fucking way is he not a top 10 consideration.
