A dude who plays in a local wizard rap band who is friends with the vocalist. I didn't know what to expect and it came out sick!

And thank you!

I can get down with this. Artwork is tight. I much prefer the high over the low vocals, but that's just my personal preference in metal. Either way I'll keep an eye on this.

First song sounds exactly like it could be off Swansong. *edit, whole thing sounds like Swansong minus the low vocals. Its pretty rad actually.

ps, Jesus Wept was also a christian band from the mid 00's.

Haha, yeah, we knew about that. But they sucked and have long been broken up so we were like whatever. And thanks dude. Aside from political disagreements I've never disliked you so I'm glad you checked the stuff out. :)

Yeh just thought it was funny because I grew up around the "christian hardcore" scene. So that name floated around a lot.

Whatever the case, fuck politics. This is seriously the best sounding Carcass influenced band I have ever heard.

Curious, what's your role in the band? I love carcass and this is seriously the best band to reinvigorate their sound. This is so good.

I'm not a big fan of covers for the sake of covers and I don't think you guys really added anything to it. It's also the longest song on the demo and it really doesn't sound like the other 8 minutes.

It did make me put on You'd Prefer An Astronaut, so there's that?

I play guitar and write all the music. I also sang the SP cover. And thanks brother, means a lot from u <3

The Carcass influence is huge. We really just wanted to start a death metal band that plays in the structure and tempo of a rock and roll band, if that makes sense? haha.

totally valid. the pumpkins cover came about not because we felt like we NEEDED a cover, but because i love that song and thought doing a heavy/drone version would be cool.

pull a reverse-Carcass and gradually regress your music into the final release being blown out goregrind.

Not listening to anyone who couldn't be bothered to google their band name that they share with a Christian metalcore band.

Wait, I should've paid more attention. I guess if you're a communist it means it's a band name for everyone. The band name of the many out weighs the band name of the few.

Thank you eveyone so much for the kind words. You guys are the best.

And to brick flair: we were well aware of the christian metal core band. we didn't care. that band sucked and broke up years ago. band names are recycled constantly. we love the movie hellraiser and the name suits our sound.

Oh so if you don't like a band you can be lazy and reuse a name that reflects how uncreative or original you are. Sick

I'm sure Kurt Cobain made sure to Google them and determine if they sucked enough to justify reusing their name.
