Who is the absolute worst music legend?

General discussion, shows, and everything else.

Postby taylorm » Tue Aug 01, 2017 9:53 am

Out of all the musicians, singers and songwriters who've been celebrated for years, who is the most obnoxious? Who is the one you just don't "get" whatsoever?

All encompassing criteria, really.

For example, I nominate Bob Marley. He was never that good to begin with, although I'm sure he had a respectable career before he became fodder for t-shirts and posters hanging up in frat houses.

Yeah, the word words "music legend" definitely doesn't apply for some of the names in this thread.

Some doofs might consider the mentioned legendary. How universal does "legendary" have to be?

I've been thinking about this since OT clarified, and it's either John Lennon or it's Ted Nugent. However, John Lennon (to my knowledge) never openly copped to being a pedophile so

John Lennon also supported tons of charities regarding world hunger and AIDS while making semi listenable music. Ted Nugent is just a raging redneck who wanted to murder Obama

Yeah, it's got to be Nugent. His only saving grace is the riff from Stranglehold.

My friend has 3 or 4 posters and wears the shirts all the time. He can't stand any reggae, ska, etc. He probably wouldn't even know what any of his songs are. Just loves weed. Like 420 blaze it lit bro, not like yeah lets smoke a bowl.
