Is this a thing anywhere else? It seems to have gotten worse in the last few years. White trash seem to love hanging "blue line" flags out of the back of their trucks.

True. The flags usually coincide with stars and bars, a trump sticker or a Gadsen flag.

The grocery store by my house has two reserved spots up front for "Heroes" aka police. It's weird.

It says underneath "Police, Veterans and Active Duty Military". Cardiac surgeons and people that feed the homeless don't count.

I guess there were a few more....

Your heroes are the 20-year old that went into the Army because he knocked up his girlfriend and the fat cop who wanted a good paying government job.

My fiancees cousin is in the Army and fucking hates it when people do that shit to him.

We just hired a guy that wears a Blue Lives Matter shirt once a week and blasts Five Finger Death Punch from his phone. It's the worst.

Obviously it's gotten worse because of the black lives matter movement. Some people are too dumb to understand the concept, and some are just too racist to care. It's nice living in a big city, where these kind of people are better at keeping their shitty opinions to themselves

Its overblown, but I mean, I get it. Becoming a police officer was always a way for the white working poor to rise out of poverty in a respectable way, through a steady job. Its fairly low skill, and in constant demand, so its always been an option for that class of people.

The blue lives matter "movement" is just an extension of the massive victim complex, and identity crisis, that class of people has.

Random cop was gunned down in the Bronx last night. Blue Lives Matter flags get bought by your aunt who sees 3/4 of the comments on the New York Times facebook link to the story being essentially "they had it coming."

Personally I'm more concerned with the fact that Suffolk County simultaneously has the highest paid cops in the country and leadership that is in the midst of a massive corruption scandal.

Throw in a massive gang problem and an unsolved serial killer case, both of which now have federal intervention, and you wonder just why exactly these cops are making $120,000+...
