oh man. They're so good. Something about the misfits or something.

let's rope in Champion, Count Me Out and even some of old OC bands like Throwdown, 18v, Adamantium... anyone remember Show of Hands? Unbroken has somehow become legendary, which I support.

Hardcore shows just make me depressed now.

Played with/saw them once in '02, played with/saw them in '03, saw the Boston and LA reunion shows in '11, the New York reunion show in '12, at FYF Fest in '12, in Oakland with Blacklisted a few months later, in LA with The Trouble last April and finally at Sound & Fury last summer. Favorite hardcore band of all time. Nobody else comes close.

Ya guy. What band are you in? I've been out of being 'in' hardcore for awhile now but I want to start a band. All of my old hardcore buddies are in big indie rock bands now though so I don't know who will do it with me. The only instrument that I play is the skin flute.

Fuck off Medusa. I was cowering in corners and shitting my pants trying to talk to scene girls at shows while you were watching Dora the Exploerer.

Started browsing the old interweb and came across Lifetime as well! How can we forget this monumental time in hardcore?

Anyone else think that Lifetime was kind of a rip off of that one band from philly?

Speaking of philly, horrorshow? hot damn.

my egregious claims about my involvement in numerous eras of hardcore do not include No Warning. I think that they were on the tail end of my diligent following of hardcore. I'm talking about maybe '99- 04.

Same era.

Carry on
Holding on
The promise
Reach the sky
When walls of Jericho wasn't a bro band
The dedication
Final plan
Sworn in
Knives out
As friends rust
Morning again
Plan of attack (if you don't know this band, you're fucking up)
The list goes on and on and on and on.

Skylab commerce, initial and lumberjack distros for actual MAIL order.

EVR, B9, deathwish Inc, indecision, trustkill and eulogy were really the IT labels around that time. Victory was even killing it back then.

This era of hardcore was so much fun. The sound, the venues, the actual sense of community. Really the hay day of this board.

AN has been my fav band since they became a thing. I think I first saw them in 2000, and never stopped loving them. I got to see them play 3x in 2015, and it was the best.

I wish they would re-record Background Music with the way he sings now. IIRC he was sick when the recorded Background Music, so his vocals were much more harsh.

Would not be a fan of this. Even though screaming gets you nothing, I prefer it when it comes to AN.

Their set at Sound and Fury was suuuuuper bleak. Same could be said for the show with The Trouble last year but that was in a smaller, intimate venue at least. I've never seen them get such a bad reaction. A huge fuck you horse shoe in front of the stage and only 6-8 kids occasionally singing along. Then they pulled out the new songs and people just stood there.

I went up and took video from the balcony because I was so mystified. I should upload it.

Their set at the Cock Sparrer show at The Pallafium was weird as hell similarly. Place felt empty and the barricade only worsened things. Didn't see them at the Elks cuz family was visiting me from out of town that weekend but I heard that was better.

who the fuck doesn't like uniform choice? band rips

I have the 7 inch for a reason but let's be honest here, the music is bad. Most of hardcore is bad but UC goes above and beyond.
