Guilty of "rad," "sick," and "dude." Have lived here my entire life and haven't heard people legitimately use the other terms in OP.

People from Northern California(basically anywhere north of Valencie) love saying "hella."

I told a girl that her tits were "sick" after she sent me a picture once, she was really unsure of how to respond.

The "surfer accent" is even prevalent for surfers here at the Jersey Shore. Not just the lingo, but the nasally drawl too. I don't know if it's an affectation or if surfing contributes to some sort of accent development, but it's here as well.

Do people in California not use blinkers or is that just a Massachusetts thing?

Australian surfers pull this shit too. Every word takes an eternity and there's a fake laugh tacked on to every other sentence.

Whack
Dope

One of my favorite things is to meet a random Californian out here, it's like that instant bond. Esp. when they know what the IE is. On NYE I met some dude whose mom is from LA but he grew up here in Germany, having spent time in the US as a kid. It was rad to be able to sort of just use slang like dude/rad. My partner always comments how I change the way I talk to other people from CA and I don't even notice it.

p.s. the fuck is pickled? And is totes really a thing? This girl I dated in San Diego used to say it and I fucking hated it.
