Last time I went to the Getty it was made out of stone and elevated, so probably not.

More like they are going to have huge insurance payouts and definitely use disaster relief aid from the gubament to rebuild their property. They will probably come out better off at the end of it.

The disaster relief aid for that is just a subsidized loan. And if I recall correctly there’s a ceiling on those loans.

The some people who lost property fires in Sonoma we're able to get personal FEMA grants of up to $34,000, which did not have to be paid back

They also probably don't know shit about the FDA so that's kind of stupid to say, I don't either and I'm a city dwelling degree holder ? They're conditioned to vote based on religion/family values and are victims of their own environment like anyone else. Not saying you need to love them or any hippie bullshit but that lack of empathy is foolish.

I am not disagreeing with you, cyclic poverty is a terrible thing. So is viewing the outside world as some kind of evil that's hell bent on destroying your way of life. Nobody out there is trying to force women to abort their babies in the third trimester, take anyone's guns away or have homosexuals going around "recruiting" kids like they're the military, but not only do they believe that stupid shit, but they dismiss anything that doesn't fit in with their fucking retarded world view as being "fake news" or liberal propaganda. Like they don't trust facts so how is anyone supposed to get through to them?

Yeah for sure. I don't think anyone is going to get through to them unless they feel some sort of direct and loud consequences. The problem is that this system is like a slow boil... A lot of people won't realize their folly because they feel removed and legislation is so behind the scenes unless you seek it out.

Palestine and Israel "share" Jerusalem. Palestine is supposed to 'own' east Jerusalem where a lot of holy sites are but Israel pretty much controls Jerusalem these days. The US 'recognizing' that Israel owns Jerusalem and is the capital, AND also wanting to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (which I personally think is the most insane part of this move) is huge prize to US-Israel relations and giant pat on the back to AIPAC (which is an extremely strong lobbyist group in our country).

This move is pretty much a giant middle finger to Palestine. Before the US has just been favoring Israel but also saying: "ok but play nice with Palenstine please!....but we aren't going to actually do anything when tensions escalate over Israel's land grabbing in the west bank." Now Trump is saying: " Pale-who?"

Further reading:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/06/world/middleeast/trump-jerusalem-israel-capital.html

A lot of this also ties into the Christian Right, which Trump is also trying to please.
This episode is a little conspiracy theory-ish, but it does get at some good points:

it's a feather in his cap. it's something he promised that he can actually get done. in his speech today (which he definitely didn't write and only seemingly only vaguely comprehended what he was reading from the teleprompter) he went on about how decades of presidents have made this promise but were too weak willed to do, but he being the big tough guy was gonna finally get it done.

in typical art of the deal fashion, he gave isreal no reason to come to the table to make any deal and told palestine that he wasn't interested in making a deal. #sayswhateveryoneistooscaredtosay

"House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) said Wednesday that congressional Republicans will aim next year to reduce spending on both federal health care and anti-poverty programs, citing the need to reduce America's deficit.

"We're going to have to get back next year at entitlement reform, which is how you tackle the debt and the deficit," Ryan said during an appearance on Ross Kaminsky's talk radio show. "... Frankly, it's the health care entitlements that are the big drivers of our debt, so we spend more time on the health care entitlements -- because that's really where the problem lies, fiscally speaking."

Ryan said that he believes he has begun convincing President Donald Trump in their private conversations about the need to rein in Medicare, the federal health program that primarily insures the elderly.

“the greatest generation” for fighting a war that 20 million young men were forcibly drafted into against their will and for (illegally) passing the largest socialist reform program in history. they still made sure blacks didnt have a seat at the table, to throw japanese people into concentration camps, and when 6 million people were kkk members in 1924
