got some phat fried chicken on a stick from Dekalb Market Hall in brooklyn last night

Image

dark meat, was greasy and was cut up into individual pieces and deep fried as one to give the appearance that it was one big ass piece, batter wasn't anything to write home about. B-

Got to try the new chick fil a spicy tenders today while they are being demoed in my city. I am a tender over nugget guy to begin with, but these dont really change anything for me. Id take original over the spicy in tender form, but spicy over original for sandwich. B.

Popeyes has betrayed me. They've either changed the longrunning cook or BK has stepped in and committed treachery. The past 4 or 5 times I've purchased a box has ended in disappointment.

On the other hand, I tried making wings with this lady's recipe and it was T I G H T

What, like Rally's? Place rules, I used to get higher than Mt Kilimanjaro and order mad wings and fries. Those fries are good as hell, plus they got hotdogs and I love hotdogs.

Not really a fried chicken place tho

major bummer news from the west coast fried chicken club: sweet t's was a local southern comfort spot that served top shelf fried chicken and won a bunch of awards for being one of the best upscale southern joints in sonoma county. it is with a heavy heart that i tell my FC boiz that i discovered this weekend that it burned down during the sonoma county fires last month : (

ended up going this place instead and while their food was pretty good for pricier fried chicken it just came up completely short. im legit bumming really hard at the loss of sweet t's, i only went there a handful of times because it was so goddamn expensive and it was kinda classier so it was fun to reserve it for special occasions.

moral of the story: don't take your local fav spots for granted! visit them this week and praise abraham that they are still up and running
