Dude is kind of an idiot but it's funny. 5 years after he retires he's gonna be broke. He's that level of stupid.

Maybe he's actually amazing with money and had set up a long term budget where he only makes 18-20mil this year. The Mets have given him an extra chunk and that's just blow away money.

The Mets must be thrilled knowing he'll have to keep producing to get his next contract since he'll be out of money.

30 games for Chapman, he's not appealing. He'll still be a free agent after 2016.

I think they can't go too crazy, and the MLBPA would have probably stepped in if it effected his free agency.

MLBTR created a projection system for TJS, Capps was one of the top 3 highest projected. That's how you fire out of the gates successfully.

So if you'll remember, in 2014 during Spring Training a stray dog wandered into the Brewers complex and the team adopted him.

There was a rumor started by a Brewers blog that Hank the Ballpark Pup as he was known had died and been clandestinely replaced without anyone being told.

Today the Brewers held a press conference, complete with physical evidence to prove that Hank the Ballpark Pup is in fact still the same dog.

I love baseball and how dumb it is.

Apparently Mejia was "framed" by the MLB for not revealing his doping connects. Good to know he's taking responsibility and using this opportunity to grow.

Probably low, they'll give him at bats at AAA. If an outfielder gets seriously hurt then he probably comes up. The plan seems to be Judge taking over for Beltran next year.

Looks they might move Eaton to LF so Jackson can play CF. I'm guessing Melky is the DH now.

I'd bet on Eaton to left, Melky in right and Garcia starts at DH against lefties.

This would be the optimal one, but I don't see it happening unless Avi shits his pants during Spring Training. They're still pretty high on him and they've been trying to sell him hard to the fanbase.

Eh, Austin Jackson for 5 million is a steal. The other three signed to stay in individual situations where outside teams were probably never going to sign them.

5 mil for the best defensive CF in that group. And we keep all 3 of our picks in the top 50 of the draft.

There's a pretty good article up on Players Tribune about CC and his drunken stupors. Obviously they ghost write this shit with his quotes to a real writer but he is clearly pretty open about how how fucked he was. It's a good read.
