MLB - RIP Roy Halladay and Daniel Flores

General discussion, shows, and everything else.

Fuck Fuck Fuck... His twitter has all these pics of his plane and how it is "meant" to fly low to the water. Terrible.

Plane people are saying this plane should have never been released to the public. It had multiple fatal accidents during testing.

And it seems, after looking at his Twitter, that they were definitely paying Halladay to promote it.

These are great:

Roy Halladay had four seasons with at least 200 strikeouts and 35 or fewer walks. No other pitcher in baseball history has more than two.

Roy Halladay had five seasons with at least 200 strikeouts and 40 or fewer walks. No other pitcher in baseball history has more than three.

In 2010, Roy Halladay became the first pitcher with at least 200 strikeouts and no more than 30 walks in a season since Cy Young in 1905.

Roy Halladay had 88 career no-win quality starts. He was 0-38 with a 2.59 ERA in those starts.

Roy Halladay still leads all of baseball in complete games since 2009.

He was a prince and still made all those shitty Jays teams fun to watch at least once every 5 days. His HOF induction will be very sad.

Wearing that Jays hat, BAYBAYYYYYY.

MLBPA will be meeting with Otani's new agents by the end of the week. I don't see the MLBPA budging on this stuff, so this will get interesting. And it surely won't be a quick solution.

Yeah, he needed an agent certified by the MLBPA to take the next step. But the next step is going to be a bitch and it still might end with him not being posted.

BOSTON -- The Red Sox delivered some devastating news on Wednesday, announcing that 17-year-old Minor League catcher Daniel Flores has died due to complications during treatment for cancer.

Flores was Boston's top international signing from last July, as the club signed him to a $3.1 million deal with visions that he could one day be the team's No. 1 catcher.

So does Halladay go into the HOF with a Jays hat or a Phillies hat.

He was with the Jays for way longer but virtually all his signature accomplishments happened with the Phillies.

If he had those accomplishments and a ring in Philly then maybe that's the hat he'd wear, but he did too much with the Jays to go in wearing anything else.

It's wild to me that he accomplished all of that in only 4 seasons; seriously, if you didn't know any better, you'd assume he would've split a 20 year career between the two teams, what with how much love and admiration has been coming from Philadelphia sports fans these last couple days

It's pretty damn impressive

It's really weird reading Stanton trade scenarios from actual journalists that include the Marlins eating part of the contract. The whole reason they're trading him and probably Gordon is that they're broke. They can't even pay for these players to play for them, why would they pay for them to play in Boston or San Francisco?

If thats the only way they can move that enormous contract they cant afford than wouldn't they HAVE to?

I mean, I guess they could eat some salary, but then it probably means having to move more than just those two players and probably Prado. Then you're taking calls on Yelich and all of the guys making between 7-12 million next year.

The return is most likely going to be shit because every executive knows the position they're in.

really upset about it for sure. i was on a cruise this week and it was the first thing i saw on twitter today via Zoo With Roy. i saw a lot of amazing Halladay moments living in Miami. his perfect game, his 200th win and his last time stepping on a mound in his career. He was always very nice when I briefly talked to him and that Phillies team was a big part of my life. Philly twitter has me very bummed out right now. He definitely goes into the hall as a Jay but Philly will always love Doc.
