dont hold your breath :smt010

Makthaverskan are currently tied up in Sweden with visa complications and unfortunately their Wednesday, March 4th show at St.Vitus in Brooklyn and Thursday, March 5th at Boot & Saddle in Philadelphia with Self Defense Family and Creative Adult will not be possible under the current circumstances; the shows will go on without them. However our team is working hard to rectify the situation and get them over to the US in a timely manner in order to preserve as many tour dates as possible. Maja, Irma, Palle, Gustav and Hugo are looking forward to their US debut tour and appreciate all of the support

cancelled the philly date

I'll take it if the stars align. Meaning if I get out of work because of the snow but then the roads are good enough to drive on.

I'm stoked for Self Defense Family and fucking MAKTHAVERSKAN. Never thought I'd see them.

dont hold your breath :smt010

Yeah I saw that this morning when I was walking into work and went 'aw FUCK' real loud like a maniac. What a bummer.

the Dive should also be mentioned in bars, punx love it there.

and Milk and Honey on 4th/Lombard for coffee.

And Geno's should need a disclaimer that they are pig loving racist assholes and no one should support them.

Here are some things I think should be added (if you don't mind):

Tacconellis Pizza - 2604 E. Somerset St. www.tacconellispizzeria.com
BAR - 13th and Sansom (cool dive bar in the heart of Center City with good craft beer selection)

LGBTQ nightlife establishments:
TABU - 12th St. and Chancellor St. - Queer neighborhood sports bar
Woody's - 13th and Walnut - Philly gay bar staple. Very woman/straight friendly. Dance floor upstairs
UBar - 12th and Locust (next to Camac St.) - Local watering hole. Friendly staff.
iCandy - 12th and Manning St. - go-go boys and such. Great roof deck when weather permits
Tavern on Camac - Camac St. Between Locust and Spruce. Piano bar with upstairs dance floor/DJs
Valanni - 13th and Locust St. - Good food, straight friendly and a tad upscale.
Bike Stop - 206 S Quince St (between Walnut and Locust) - Leather/Levi type establishment with sports bar on 2nd floor
Voyeur - St. James St. (between 13th and Camac) - Multi-level night club with after hours. Mixed crowd. Expensive.
Boxers - 13th and Walnut - Sports bar with a popular happy hour. Small, but friendly and clean.

Does Honest Toms only have a truck or do they have an actual shop too? I've heard the truck is amazing.

Also, I'm moving from the burbs to Center City in a month. Psyched to be able to get to more shows easier and hopefully get to hang and meet some of you finally.

Also, thank you, Worship! That was quick haha.

Also, does anyone know if SEPTA offers anything like the New York Transit re-chargeable metro card?
The Septa site sucks and lord knows talking to (most) septa employees usually doesn't help.

also aside from my salty answer about septa, it's allegedly coming sometime this year. they've already installed new turnstiles at a bunch of subway stops and on some trolleys and buses. here's more information, but i'm not holding my breath.

I should probably just ask this question in the wrestling thread, but I'll ask here anyways.

I'll be driving out to Philly for two wrestling shows that are at 2300 South Swanson Street. Any recommendations or ideas on a place to stay?

Anyone know anything about the Little League/Kill Verona show that I just read is apparently happening?

If this is true I'm going to be so excited.
