Got into the Old 97's through this thread, thanks to whoever recommended it. Gonna try and hunt down a copy of that Gillian Welch record that got posted on here also

Going to see Isbell tomorrow night. Couldn't be more excited about it. This will be my first time seeing him in a huge theatre.

Dude never dissapoints

Jealous. I hope he comes near this side this year and not a fest.

Isbell is coming here tomorrow night. Heard something on the radio a few days ago about the show which reminded me I should listen to him... basically for the first time. Checked out Southeastern when it came out but I must not have been in the mood for it that day or something and I never came back to him until now. I can't stop listening. Hopefully I can make it tomorrow night.

Mount Moriah. They had a new album out last Winter that I listened to briefly and liked, but kinda forgot about. Revisited it this week and I'm fucking in love. Album is called "Learn to Dance" and is for sure worth a try.

Saw the Old 97's open for the Turnpike Troubadours last night. Weird that almost no one knew who the Old 97's are.

The Turnpike Troubadours draw a way different crowd than what I figured. They were both great, though.

This will be nothing new to anyone posting in this thread, but since I was late to Jason Isbell...

that dude can fucking write some incredible lyrics. Stockholm is a perfect song. It's concise, catchy, clever, and fucking devastating.

I really wish Ryan Adams would put out another record like Heartbreaker. Or hell, get back with Whiskeytown for an EP and a string of shows.
