"Traveller" has been on constant repeat for me over the last month and a half. That album pretty much front to back is just solid good.

Also really looking forward to Sturgill Simpsons new album this year.

And congrats to Isbell winning a couple Grammys as well.

I read an article the other day where Sturgill Simpson said that the new album was already done but he wanted to take at least a 6 month break before releasing it and touring again. I understand where he's coming from but I want to hear some new music from him so bad!!

Earlier today the pre-order page was working fine... but yeah now it's definitely all fucky. I'd hang tight and I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.

i know this is an older comment, but my cousin is about to release a follow up to heartworn highways. they did a promotional event for it last weekend at willie nelson's ranch during SXSW. if anyone is interested you can find out more info here http://heartwornhighways.com/revisited/

Edit. Damn was going through new people and old seeing who was involved and just saw Steve Young died a couple days ago. RIP

LAURA CANTRELL "PILE OF WOE" is probably one of my favorite songs. Her voice and playing is so great.

I know think they don't like to be call alt-country, but Gun Outfit is fucking tight. They don't sound much like the artist mentioned on this thread and they also have a bit of a more psychedelic vibe. There is a subtle country vibe in all their songs though. I saw them open for Ceremony and Negative Approach, not too many people were into them, but I dig it

Romano is fucking awesome. If I've Only One Time Askin' was on constant rotation for me last year.

Recently started playing in Dennis Ellsworth's backing band. Some of y'all might dig him. He's got a couple records produced by David Barbe.

Check him out:

Saw Shooter Jennings last night, luckily he's doing shows with Waylon's old band so it consisted of some covers and his country/rock stuff nothing off the new album, which is rather bizarre but want to listen to more of.

I saw them on Friday night, missed the first couple Isbell songs but saw a majority of his set. He was fire. So good.
Stapleton was pretty good, I'm not a huge fan but overall pretty good live. The crowd, myself included, were fucking smashed. I think everyone was fucked up.
