I could listen to What's The Story (Morning Glory) and Unplugged all day. I'll need to give their other records a shot again.

Just checked out noel gallagher's desert island discs episode a few minutes ago. I love that guy. I'm about to purchase tickets for Noel's next gig in my town.

That McGee story is awesome. Oasis will rule forever and ever. The musicianship is top notch and in a sense they had very punk rock roots, came from the bottom and conquered the world for a couple of years.

Saw Noel at Boston opera house like 4 rows away a few months ago.
He played Digsy's Dinner and Slide Away which are two of my favorites but pretty deep cuts.
10/10 show.

Noel Gallagher fucking telling it like it is (just after I read this piece I see on my feed that Adele's manager has to approve her tweets because she might "drunk tweet". The woman proves a lot of Noel's points hahah)

Some bangers missing. People who say Oasis' only good songs are in the first two records need to shut up.

'Be Here Now' was the first album I got of theirs when I was a kid. There was an older kid on my block who I used to think was the coolest person ever and he had the sickest Oasis tour baseball tee so I used to have my parents buy me albums of bands he was into haha.

I know its not their best album but it holds a special place in my heart.

despite the real version being 70 hours long and the 'Live Aid' feel of the later part of the song, this might be my favorite Oasis song

Same. I was too cool for school when it came to Oasis during their What's The Story... popularity. I was still super into Metallica and Pantera. But I stopped being an idiot and took notice with Be Here Now. The video for "D'Ya Know What I Mean?" was just too fucking cool to ignore.

Their performance of "Don't Go Away" on SNL sealed it for me.

Be Here Now is still a fine record.

I guess the "wall of sound" thing is what they were going for, but the mastering on their stuff is fucking headache-inducing to me these days. I'd buy a competent remaster of that stuff instantly.

I've heard that the 2014 remasters of the first two albums are somehow worse than the originals, so I'm not too hyped if this will be a similar deal.

So, I saw this thing. Pretty good. I went with a friend who is not as into Oasis as me and since I geek out a lot, I kinda was spoiling it for her with remarks like: "oh right, so this is when blah blah blah".

It flew right by, so few things you can squeeze into a 2 hour documentary, but it was really cool.

Been listening to this tune all day.

Most likely going to be reuniting for Glastonbury 2017. Not confirmed but was tipped off from a reliable source. Tickets already sold out without a line up being announced so I guess I'm going to have to climb a fence or try and sneak in.

Where is everyone watching Supersonic? Itunes or Amazon? Is there a DVD/Bluray release coming up in the US? I'd much rather spend money on a physical copy than a digital one.

Also, this song fucking rules!

Favorite band ever. I found these in a thrift store in Manhattan a couple weeks ago. Both are fantastic. Lord Don't Slow Me Down is a documentary capturing the band after they released one of my favorite records, Don't Believe The Truth. Live By The Sea is a show from 95, a great great era for the band. What's awesome about Oasis is that they're sorta culty in the US but their presence is everywhere; DVDs, records, CDs, etc

Noel has been calling into Russell Brands radio show lately and telling some great stories. Apparently Noel went to the doctor in the early nineties because one of his knees would randomly sweat.
