Are we watching the same Wesley Johnson? He's a mediocre dribbler with a shaky shot. His defense? Down. His athleticism Down. Don't get me wrong, I think he's a nice player, but he's certainly got his weaknesses.

Kid has a hell of a stroke, was wondering what he didn't do so well.

the shits in place to have byron take over for D'antonio. The split screens with "well what do you think coach scott?" are great.

Having a nice stroke doesn't always equal being a prolific shooter. fuckin' ese has never shot more than 40% in his career. Maybe, it'll go up, but I've seen some ugly shots from him.

Kup surrounded kobe with jump shooters. All those dudes can stroke it.

I think his dribbling will get a little better as the year commences. Last year, Jodie Meeks looked beyond perplexed if he had to put the ball on the floor, now he can make the appropriate dribble and step inside the line for a higher percentage shot. I agree with your assessment of Johnson's weaknesses and strengths, I'll take the athleticism and defensive hustle any day though, the Lakers would be foolish to keep him out of the starting 5. The fact of the matter is there is no consistency with the Lakers, it's a revolving door of different people stepping up in different games, the streakiness doesn't bother me in that sense. With the complexion of the team, I don't see that changing. I do see Kobe coming backing fucking up the delicate balance they have in place. But I guess since you paid the fucking guy another 50 mil you have to play him -__-

So apparently every time Golden State and OKC hook up this year is just going to be the most ridiculous games of the night.

How about Jordan Crawford lately? Triple double tonight for Boston.

Also, on NBA TV's recap of the CLE/BOS game they said Kendrick Perkins left the game with an injury. Whoops.

It drives me nuts that the few centers in the league capable of being some of today's greatest players cant get their shit together enough to shine. Bynum with injuries and his lackadaisical approach to the game, Cousins with his attitude. Even Dwight can't learn a couple more moves to make him an elite offensive player in addition to being a force on defense.

Although LeBron comes close, I understand that there no perfect players and every player has some flaw... but god damn.

Parsons' has been battling back spasms and played 40 min. Garcia just ran into Timmy's bionic knee.

Part that won't be talked about is Harden playing hard on both ends of the floor and clutch D + rebounding in the last 4 minutes.

ETA: TJones is way sexier than Parsons.

This is why you have to let him play more! I've been watching all the Bucks highlights and boxscores and this is the first time I remember him breaking 20 minutes. Also the guy doing the highlight rundown of this game on NBA.com sounds like Scruff McGruff if he were a color commentator.

And the Grizzlies lost to the Nets but I didn't expect much, Gasol is out and Randolph was decided that he wasn't playing like an hour before so Ed Davis and Koufos started. So, the Grizzlies were missing both their All Star bigs who they happen to run the offense through. However, Pondexter finally got into a game (DNP-CD last 2) and went nuts and apparently was staring down Coach Joerger every play after he went off. Like noticeably enough to where every beat writer was mentioning it and saying an assistant had to calm him down in a time out but I love that kid.

Knicks losing streak up to 9. What's it going to take before the front office makes SOME sort of panic move?

The last time the Knicks lost 9 in a row it was February 2006 and their starting lineup was Jalen Rose, Eddy Curry, Quentin Richardson, Jamal Crawford and Maurice Taylor. This current Knicks team is paying three guys $60+ million to get a 3-13 start.

I know on a grand scale it's a HUGE waste of money but I doubt Dolan even feels the hole in his wallet.

This team is nearly impossible to watch on a night to night basis and I can't wait for him to make some more drastic decisions, after a couple more losses, that will make the collective world's head spin into infinity.

You know, we all thought tanking for Wiggins would be crazy, but there are some unprecedented nominees possibly creeping up to try to throw their names into the fold.

I wonder if the Knicks will entertain calling the season a wash to trade some of their key guys for a '14 pick. Somebody would bite for Chandler and Shumpert in exchange for some team's first + albatross contract.

Top 6 are studs. I still have Wiggins easily 1. Dude is going to be a stud on both end of the floor. Parker's the best offensive freshman since Durant, Randle's going to eat people alive in the post, Exum (from what I've seen) looks really good, Embiid has the potential to be a top 5 center in the league on both sides of the floor and Smart could be what Tyreke Evans should be. Really can't go wrong in the top 6 IMO.

Top 6 are definitely game changers. I think Smart is going to fly under the radar a bit and be ridiculous right out of the gate. He has better vision than Evans, but I think that's a good comparison. There is also another 6-10 guys in the draft who can be really really solid starters/future game changers.

I was thinking more along the lines of Phoenix trading one of their four million '14 first round picks and Okafor's expirer for Chandler + Shumpert. The Suns aren't tanking and getting Chandler + Shump without abandoning multiple picks is a great deal, in my opinion. Especially if they're able to land one impact player with the shit ton of picks they've got this summer. Resign Bledsoe and the Suns have a stellar core.

New York gets a pick in a deep draft and they only have to pay Okafor for the remainder of the season, as opposed to giving Chandler $14.5 million next season. Then, if they move Bargnani or Amar'e this summer, the Knicks financial situation wouldn't be as fucked heading into next season.
