HOW TO RUN FROM COPS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE, BY BAKER MAYFIELD

General discussion, shows, and everything else.

Sad to see Mullen leave MS State, but I suppose it was inevitable. He was able to put together some solid teams with very limited recruiting power.

Or just take the bag from A&M.

Love how these coaches can just bounce for millions. Players can't get paid and if they want to leave they have to sit a year.

Pretty damn happy w/ the Mullen hire. That's who I wanted instead of McElwain a few years ago. Program familiarity is there, obviously, and he knows the recruiting pipeline too.

THAT is the best Tennessee can do? My god.

College people love Brohm and seem to be fully on board with Brohm getting to recruit SEC country kids.

This FSU season has gone from bad to horrible to an unmitigated train wreck. Hope Jimbo enjoys the step down and getting his ass kicked by Saban on a yearly basis. Bring on Taggart. Fuck everything.

From McMurphy:

Sources: John Currie was prepared to hire Mike Leach but university officials wouldn’t allow him to do so. Phillip Fulmer has been sabotaging search process in hopes to become Tennessee’s AD

...and now Currie is fired. I'm loving this.

I agree he doesn't want to coach, but I'd assume they'd want to keep the job in the family tree by seeing if he's interested. Even though they know they shouldn't.

Baker Mayfield is so much fun to watch. He's gonna be a fascinating NFL prospect. I wouldn't want the Jets to take him in the first, but I'd be bummed if the Dolphins or Bills did.

There's no way he makes it out of the 1st unless he gets hurt or completely bombs during the draft process but if he does I wouldn't mind the Jets taking him in the 2nd since they have two anyway.

He's going to bomb the combine, a terrible team is going to draft him and throw him to the wolves.

Will be one of the better storylines next year.

There's no way he's gonna bomb at the combine. If anything it would be his interviews. He's got a good arm and he's fast. He's the ideal combine QB. It's gonna be a question of whether or not he can operate a NFL offense or read an NFL D

He'll ony make 6 feet if they let him wear either cleats or creepers. Hand size might be an issue as well. And yeah, his interviews are wbat everyone is waiting on.

He probably won't throw at combine either.
