Coffee Acheivers were from Long Island. Their demo was actually called This Is Stony Brook Not Europe, came out 84. They gigged too.

CFA demo is real but I don't have a copy or audio of it.

We can do an even bigger collection for New Jersey demos.

Or even just NY bands that gigged but never made demos like Holy Terrors, Johnny Saline & The Abortionz (Ny/nj), Counterforce (CFA members), Nevermore (slow mo hardcore/punk), Possessed (ny band), on and on

Whoa whoa!! haha. That could seriously get out of hand. I just want to try and get together a comprehensive NYHC demo list from like 1980-1992 or so. Eventually i may do the same for NJ, but i have a feeling this NY list will keep growing.

Functional Idiots had a Jersey address. Drummer was in Murphy's Law however so it may be a NY thang.

Wonder if that Nihilistics demo had their classic "Grandma's Asshole"

BROOKLYN
The Brooklyn Sessions (demo) (@ Top Cat studios)
(1987)

Brooklyn was formed around late 1987 or early 1988. Its members included Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, Tom Cushman, Daryl Jenifer of Bad Brains, and Doug E. Beans who was the drummer in Murphy's Law.
Murphy's Law along with Fishbone had opened night after night for the Beastie Boys during the Licensed to Ill tour, so three out of four of them had gotten to know each other better while on the road.
Having only been paid a small percentage of what the Beastie Boys thought they were owed from Def Jam, Yauch took twenty thousand dollars and along with the other guys recorded several songs under the band name Brooklyn. The demo was shopped around to several recording labels, but was never put out commercially.

didn't BLACK TRAIN JACK had a demo?

Was the M13 demo called Path Of Perfection? I am also still trying to find the year of this one.

And KriegKopf was 1986 according to what's written on back of tape cover.

yes the Buffalo ZT, they had a demo in 88 most of the songs from the 7" in 89 were on that demo. I think it might have been called Buffalo Style, another demo in 90 which was the FTF songs without all the metal solos and stuff over it and than the FTF tape.

the band the had previous to ZT was called New Balance and I believe they had at least one demo

Yo Henry, what's up?

Would love to hear that ZT Better Judgement demo, and the New Balance demo too.

There's a live tape from a show they played in Toronto with Cannibal Corpse and the Goo-Goo Dolls that's really cool too:

than maybe Stormy shouldn't have added the Fuel The Fire demo to his update on August 14th if it's only a NYC thread, don't want to pedantic or anything, I'm also well aware of the what songs are on the 90 demo didn't realize I would have to clarify more than my original post, thanks though

Any talk about ZT is good talk, and 90's NYHC is good too, some great bands came out during that time too.

Do you know if any euro distros are gonna get the Urban Styles book? I definitely wanna get a copy!

Rev HQ is going to have them in the future. After that Straight And Alert, Per Koro or xSentient should have them.

I asked Freddy a couple of weeks ago and he told me he is trying to get a bunch of copies over to The Essence in London soon.

This is really cool. 20 minute video, camcorder footage narrated by Raybeez as he drives to pick up the rest of Warzone to go to the 1988 Superbowl of HC. First half of footage is travel to Brooklyn and other areas of NY to pick up Luckey Luke and the crew, second half is 4 or 5 songs live at the Bowl.

Thanks dude, I'll keep my eyes posted. Apparently Cortex got some, but I'm wait a couple weeks to see if ThexEssence, S&A or Sentient are also gonna get some.

Wow that's really cool.

Also the dude who sings in Rage Cage (NYHC from Italy) and does the HCPP fanzine started a small label, he's a gonna put out a tape of Dynamo live at CBGB's in 2006, you can dl the set for free right in the meantime:

I love how Lukey Luke lives in an entire 3 story brownstone that takes up most of the building. Holy shit

This is a completely remastered collection of every Krakdown song. I picked the best sounding track from various releases. The first track is a killer instrumental taken from a Thrasher comp called Skate Rock Vol. 9. The next 7 tracks are taken from the recently remastered EP with bonus track. Rest of songs are from various comps and demos. Ending the comp is a massive live track from '85 with Chris Notaro from Crumbsuckers on vox. Excellent quality throughout. Crucial stuff.
