B9, this family needs some help.

General discussion, shows, and everything else.

Hey guys, I have some friends that are going through a real rough patch with their child right now, and they need all the help that they can get. Their names are Justin and April, and they are honestly two of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met. They've been a huge part in the hardcore community of this area for years, and you've probably met them if you've ever been to a show in the Knoxville/Tennessee area. Remember that riot that happened at 10 For $10 in Knoxville a few years back? They were the ones that offered up their basement for the bands to play in when the venue decided to cancel the show so that all of the people coming from out of town wouldn't have wasted their time and money.

[resize]http://i46.tinypic.com/2j44ivk.jpg,580[/resize]

Anyways, they had a beautiful baby girl last year, Nora Jane, and she instantly brightened up the life everyone who knew them. Unfortunately, she was born with a terrible heart condition that left her with a hole in her heart and without a left ventricle. She has already been through various expensive surgeries in the past year, and they had to take her to 3 hours away to the hospital on Vanderbilt's campus in Nashville for yet another surgery. Before they left, there was a benefit show put together to help them with this round of medical bills that raised a decent amount of money. During the pre-op procedures to get her ready for the major surgery she was going through, there were a few complications that have left her with a collapsed lung. She's currently receiving oxygen treatment because she can't go through with the surgery until her lung has fully recovered. Because of the complications, Justin and April are having to stay out of work for a longer period of time while the medical costs continue to pile up.

I know none of this really matters to you guys, but I've seen you all help out a ton of people on here that really need it. I know they'd appreciate anything, even if you can't donate and just leave some inspirational words or bump this up for more people to see.

[resize]http://i50.tinypic.com/2r56ya8.jpg,580[/resize]

HERE'S THE DONATION PAGE THEY'RE USING:

https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/8PxCb

IF YOU'D RATHER DONATE DIRECTLY THROUGH PAYPAL:

Norajaneworley@gmail.com

They've already promised to donate any excess funds to other families with children suffering from congenital heart defects/disease.

I'd be cool if one of the mods would be willing to sticky this if possible. If not, I completely understand that as well.

Thank you to anyone who gave this attention, regardless of whether you donated or not. You're awesome, and every one of our friends appreciates you.

Good luck, Nora. We're all sending you strength, and you have two of the best parents in the entire world. You're going to pull out of this just fine.

Not sure if this will help, but, my company operates the helicopter service at Vanderbilt. Not sure if they need/will need air ambulance service but I could more than likely get it at a very reduced cost, if not free.

I'll pass this info along to them. I'm not sure if they need it or not, but you're awesome regardless.

Thanks to whomever stickied this, I appreciate it a ton. If you guys post on any other boards or anything, it would be cool if you could share this link. I'm just trying to spread the word, they're extremely grateful that people even care. Even kind words can do a lot to help someone in this situation.

Glad to see this is on Facebook and Reddit now. Justin and April deserve all the help people are willing to give. Seriously great people and a rough situation. They put my friends and I up for a couple of nights on our way to and from TIH. April cooked us all dinner one night, and even made a vegan-friendly meal for me as well. Share this any way you can, they deserve it.

i have some stuff up on ebay right now. as soon as that moneyis collected, i will contribute what i can. i have two kids, and so situations like this scare the shit out of me.

These guys housed my band twice while on the road and made us feel at home. They are awesome, awesome people and their daughter is absolutely adorable. I can't give much right now but I am donating right now and will probably continue to contribute with each check. Best of luck little Nora!

Guys I can't even begin to describe how much we appreciate all of the support love and positivity coming from our hardcore family and friends! Without the "scene" it would honestly be so so so much harder you all make our day 100 times better. Every time we get a donation we just smile, it's amazing! So from the bottoms of our 3 hearts we thank every single one of you amazing people for your donation whether it be 1.00 or 100 we seriously thank you so much! So today is Nora's surgery and I wrote this:
It's deff. Really hard to keep your composure while telling your daughter to stay strong an to keep that heart going and that you will see her in a few hours. Not knowing the outcome at all. Today is going to be a super hard super long day that I'm not looking forward to. So with that said feel free to call or text me at anytime. We will also keep everyone updated as much as we can. Just keep telling yourself everything will be ok!!!! Gotta keep the PMA... Sheewwwww love you guys and so does April and Nora! Positive vibes and thoughts welcome all day!

#norajaneworley is out of her surgery. Doc said she did great, although they did have to leave her open. Just because the Glenn may not stick. They did the Glenn procedure, a DKS and a valve repair. A lot more than we bargained for. But anything to get my baby better! More news later! Thanks for all the good vibes positive thoughts and prayer! We love you guys so much!

Nora had her surgery yesterday, total it was a 9 hour surgery, and she was on bypass for around 6. She is doing way better than we have expected, from all she had done, she was just having the Glenn surgery but ended up with a Glenn, DKS and a AV valve repair. Her chest was left open, and shes on a pacer right now but she is doing well. Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers and donations. We greatly appreciate it.
