Went 25/0/7 with OP Drow the other day.

I'm being reminded now how every time I used to play custom games I would always have guys on my team/whatever that had no idea what they're doing. This fucking Diretide.

Up to seven couriers. Still need to grab two more unusual essences before tomorrow for my second greevil. Getting super nerdy about collecting couriers is fun. It's like first getting into records all over again.

I've never even seen one drop.

I've now got a green, purple and orange all with 3xunusual. I'm saving some normal essences to see what other people's are like before adding them in. Can't wait for them to hatch.
Still unsure what this is all going to lead to, but there's good reason to think they will be "companions" and not couriers...but no one knows what that means.

And in my final collector nerd news, I've picked up the last of the Omniknight hammers, all 13. Now I need the rest of his gear. I don't even play him that much, I just think his cosmetics are the best available. Trade me his helmets!

slark is easy mode. even at level two you can pick up kills fairly easy. match yourself up with a slow or disable, and its a lockdown kill for the most part. he kicks ass against strength heroes early on because you're mostly stealing that attribute. lowers their max hp each time you hit 'em.

The worst game I've played in recent memory. Towards the end, everyone on my team was arguing about whose game was the worst...everyone thought it was themselves.

fnc v pulse
fnatic were my favorite hon team (nova and trixi all day), but pulse is one of my favorite d2 teams (mini wisp all day) and they got utterly STOMPED by fnatic...I don't know how to feel.

And now dignitas v pulse just started...my fandom can't handle this.

Someone give me the rundown on this game. Should I play this or League of Legends and what can I do to get good at it?

Dota 2! You have access to all of the heroes for no price at all. Unless they changed it, LoL gives you a small pool of champions to start with and then a random pool of a small amount of champions every week, and you must pay to permanently unlock other heroes.

The in-game store (uses real money) only has cosmetic items that have no impact on the gameplay including custom ward designs, couriers (They bring items back and forth from the base), armor and weapons for each hero, passes to watch tournaments, and more (I think?). You can also get items after games.

The game definitely has a steeper learning curve, but you can learn something new in every match you play.

There's probably a lot more that people can fill you in on that I missed.

This.

Dota 2 will take longer to get a firm grip of, but fucking hell, I used to play LoL a lot and my friends introduced me into original Defence of the Ancients, which I ignored because they whinge like crazy.

Now all I do is play DoTA2 and smash those cunts... because I rule.

Practicex10, watch competitive games and guide videos and try to play with other people who want to get better.

Honestly, I've played dota (then hon then dota2) for about *seven years and I still only consider myself a C+/B- player. I only recently got into understanding the game beyond just turning it on and playing.

I think that courier is awesome. I'm really excited for Season 3 to start up. Starladder has had a couple great games.

I've been practicing luna for the last week since I started watching zsmj replays. Now, I'm watching disruptor replays and working on him.

My roommate plays this constantly. Hes decent too. I play occasionally and I suck, so I only stick with Tanky support characters. So glad that I played HoN before this though, DOTA2 is a dumbed down version of that as opposed to LoL.

I've been playing League recently since all my other nerd friends do. I decided to play a match of DotA to try and purge my soul and Judas Priest I can't last hit to save my life anymore. It's so outrageously easy in League.

Hopefully I can get them to switch over soon.

yeah what the fuck? HoN is a rip off of dota. granted it may be "faster paced" to the untrained eye, but dota has way more depth and a better balance than LoL and HoN combined.

Play dota. the real mans game.
