Anyone know of some decently priced custom frame shops online? I have three prints I need to frame and I'm trying not to spend $300.

You're in LA? I go to a place in Studio City that has framing with plexi and basic metal frames that is $20 for anything under 24x36. Bigger than that is pretty reasonable too.

Do you know if they do UV glass? That's really the only thing I need. What's the name of the place?

Takes about a week but they do tons of orders so that's why they're able to offer such cheap prices.

Hey dudes I’m doing a bit of spring, er um fall cleaning so I figured I’d do a shameless plug in here and let you guys have first dibs. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested in any of them. They’ll come shipped in a tube, not framed like in the pics. Some are in the group photos below; the rest I’ve direct linked with descriptions so I don’t blow up this thread.

Here is the complete list with close up pics…

Anyone have any tips for getting wrinkles out of posters? Got a couple tattoo prints (not screen prints, more comparable to a regular poster) that I framed myself but they look super wrinkled in the frames. I have them pressed pretty tight up against the glass of the frame but they just look wrinkled. I don't really want to use spray adhesive, does anyone have experience steaming a poster that's been stored in a tube for a while?

You can try using an iron on the lowest setting. Use a hard flat surface, put the poster face down. Put a piece of paper between the back of the poster and the iron when you're using it.

I take no responsibility if the poster gets ruined :)

Cool, there's a couple videos on YouTube of people doing that, I think I'm gonna give it a try. I think as long as the paper in direct contact with the iron is thick enough it shouldn't damage the poster.

I have some prints I'd like to trade if possible, or sell if anyone is interested in them. They are (I'll post pictures if anyone shows interest): Tame Impala, The Black Angels, Roky Erickson, Animal Collective, GY!BE, Black Angels/Black Mountain, Black Moth Super Rainbow.

Interested in band prints (metal mostly), fantasy illustration, horror/sci fi/fantasy movies.
