Halo Reach is a terrible game as well when compared to 3 and especially 2.

2>3>reach>ODST.

I dont really think any halo game is that great. I think they are worth playing for the pop culture value. I originally didnt even put odst on my list until a well respected gamer I know said he liked odst best out of all of the 360 halos. I beat 3 and reach
edit and I hated 2 the most. that ending what a piece of shit. the first one is the best.

If you're playing Halo for the campaign you're fuckin up.

Halo 2 is one of, if not the best, online console multiplayers.

3 was a bit of a downgrade but still extremely good.

ODST is unspeakably bad.

Halo Reach might as well be renamed Halo: Call of Duty With Jetpacks, lots of Jetpacks

Finished Uncharted 3 and have moved on to the HD remake of Shadow of the Colossus. My goodness what a beautiful game. I also got Kingdom Hearts 3D, so I've started that as well.

I'm waiting for a price drop on DC Superheroes before I pick it up. Even used copies are going for $30 on eBay.

I bought the GOTY edition a few days ago, so it came with all of the DLC. Nightwing and Robin challenge maps are a blast.

that article is actually really confusing but i think it will be out on the 28th. it says "collections starting at $30" so that might be for the infamous games. gow might be a little more expensive, but still, pretty sweet.

After finally getting my new PC rig up and running, I've just manged to start working through some of the games I grabbed during the Steam summer sales.

La Noire. This is a great game to play stoned. Awesome music and atmosphere, and I really enjoy the logic puzzles of finding clues and attempting to break witnesses. It's got some inherent flaws and isn't for everyone, but it's so well done. It's really too bad Team Bondi collapsed and there will probably never be a sequel.

Bastion. I'm about halfway through, and it's so great. I'm sure many of you know. Gets me excited to play vidgames again when indie masterpieces like this exist.

Phantasy Star Online 2. Who else was addicted to PSO for Dreamcast when it first came out? I had semi-lapses with the re-release for gamecube, and the updates on PSP and a bit of PS: Universe, but all those felt a little weak and derivative. While this is still the same shit, it just looks way too good and the gameplay has really been tightened up. I'm totally piped to play with my friends and any b9ers. It's currently in Japanese beta - which you can sign up, and then there's an english patch you can download. All content will be transferable when the full game comes out - which is completely free to play and download. Awesome.

I think people were expecting LA Noire to be a GTA/Mafia-type of game. It wasn't. That's why it ended up not being very popular (I think).

For me, it was an interesting game and the fact that they developed/employed that facial expression engine was so fucking cool.

Finally downloaded Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD and so far I'm a little disappointed that some of the songs that I wished were included just weren't. You also can't skip through the soundtrack like you used to. I mean, no big deal, just a bummer flr me.

The controls are also kinda awkward/stiff where I'm having to purrfectly land a trick. I can't be a micro-pixel off or else I bail and sometimes the weird physics catapults me 50 ft into the air.

It's really not as hard as people make it out to be at all. As long as you don't play it as if it's G.od of War, you should be fine. All you need for Demon's/Dark Souls is patience. Rushing is never rewarded.

Edit: That w/ord filter is the only one I've ever been annoyed by.

NG+ is stupid hard

Even though I'm sure I'm coming off as a try-hard, I still don't think it's that hard. Sure, it's difficult but again...as long as you're patient, the game is pretty easy. Now...some of the bosses in the game (the terrible twins come to mind) are hard and annoying. However, like Bog-Body mentioned, if you have decent equips you can crush everything with ease.

Man, I really miss this game. I hate myself for selling it for shitty SFxT. I miss Demon's Souls too. Ironically, the atmosphere in Demon's Souls is a lot more dark and brooding than Dark Souls. Both are extremely fun and satisfying, though. Can't wait to get them again.

It's a free MMO, for those who haven't heard of it.

whats this like?

It's just a 2D side-scrolling beat'em up with RPG elements/character development and growth. If you want to try it out: http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/

I made a post about it in the fighting game thread (the page before the last one) because I wanted some of those guys to try it out but no one cared.

Seriously, don't let the lame look fool you. The game is beyond fun.
