It's not even minecraft though. You just build mini forts when someone starts shooting you and mega forts at end game. It's so much fun.

I really want to pick this up but worried about the motion sickness. I guess you have to keep going back to build up the tolerance.

Playing tons of Rocket League on the switch, it's great but with the lower resolution the depth perception takes a hit, making aerials so much harder.

Just re-bought my copy of Resident Evil 7, might try to play through the campaign again before Not a Hero drops next Tuesday.

Been playing Divinity 2 the last week. I can't remember the last time I was this engrossed in a game. Combat in the first installment felt like a chore so I'm glad they tweaked it a bit.

Definitely worth modding, I added an extra 50 games and having the controller-mapped reset button saves from constantly getting up to switch games or rewind.

Modding is super easy, download Hakchi2 and follow a tutorial on Youtube. The latest version automatically adds the reset button combo (select + down), which I think you can also customize.

Just be aware how many games you add and that you leave enough space for save states.

I think around 500MB? No harm in getting someone to do it, but it's really easy if you follow a tutorial. You plug it into your PC and run the program once you've downloaded the ROMS you want. And don't worry about artwork since Hakchi2 can Google search cover art for you and add them in.

Dusted off the PS3.

Going through Dead Space 3 now. It pisses me off that I'm missing game content cuz I'm playing solo. And the scares are non existent. And the gameplay seems real clunky when fighting hordes of regular humans with guns. The board meetings for this game's preproduction musta been great. EA: "Gamers want action and spectacle. Let's do RE5 meets Uncharted." Dev: "The gameplay mechanics and systems aren't really designed for that approach. EA: "Suck my dick."

Yeah I figured Dead Space 3 was gonna be a stinker. Like horror game to action horror to generic action. Seemed to be the process happening. Part 2 is such a great game and brought back my interest in video games

I'm just tossing you around like a frisbee, man hehe

I tried to do that with Skyrim cause I wanted it to be like Dark Souls pretty bad...but it's not. It's Skyrim and natural to play in first person. Skyrim is cool and all but definitely not the greatest rpg of all time or whatever. It's just some popular title to me

This got a few negative reviews on xbone and I was on the fence about getting it. I said fuck it and bought it a couple days ago. It's fucking great. Fun as shit. The fighting kinda honks but it's also cool that it's slow and about timing to dodge a punch. It feels good plowing into someone. Making a goal is also satisfying. There's no mp though because it's supposed to be retro. I think that's where the negative reviews came from...that it was an arcade game and not a simulator

Dead Space 3 actively penalizes you for playing solo. I think it underperformed at retail, but if this is where the franchise was headed I'm glad they quit.

Super pretty game though. Stands up to a lot of the current gen.

Dead Space deserves a remastered trilogy where part 2 has more MP modes/necromorph options.

Which brings me to this question that I ask over and over again.... what's with the lack of violent alien fps? I know DS is 3rd person (unlike BOTW) but there needs to be more games in that vein. Colonial malicious extraterrestrials invading earth...trapped aboard a space station with killer aliens....stranded on a foreign planet with insectoids that are idiotically violent. Seems like there's 500 games with zombies. What about aliens? Since Duke Nukem is done...we need another Doom with aliens.

I borrowed Bloodborne from a coworker and just started that. It's my first Souls game. I accidentally wandered into Father Gascoigne and got destroyed. Then I fought the Cleric Beast and beat it first try. I'm not confident in my ability to beat Father Gascoigne.

Fight him on the stairs so there’s less shit to get hung up on. Plus due to the elevation he’ll miss swings, giving you an opening

Holy shit the save system in Dead Space 3 is terrible. Just lost 1.5 to 2 hrs of progress. Had to make sure game didn't glitch so checked online. Yup, just an absolutely abysmal, weird save system.

However, your inventory saves and I guess some story related pickups. So now I'm locked of an optional mission that I already completed because he game still recorded me picking up a key to a door, so the key is no longer there. Guess it forces my hand to not complete it again, but I wanted to cuz I'm a completionist bout that sort of thing.

Practice your gun parry, you can kill him with like 4 visceral attacks and the tiny music box. Bloodborne is one of my big favs

Thanks, that helped. Absolutely destroyed him on the stairs. Dodging into enemies seems to be useful so far too, despite being counterintuitive.

I suck with the gun parry. I feel like even when I hit enemies prior to an attack it doesn't down them. Just gives me an opportunity for a free swing. Are there different timings with the parry as far as what sorry of follow-up you get? I very rarely get visceral attacks in... certainly not on the good father.

The entire point of the gun is to parry to let you get in a visceral attack. Timing might be different from enemy to enemy, but as far as follow up attacks, you can either get in a visceral attack or regular attacks if you’re too slow getting there.

Normally if my shot stops an enemy attacker, they don't go down and and R1 attack is just a normal attack no matter how close instead of a visceral attack. Do they have to drop for a visceral?
