I bought The Witcher 2 but haven't gotten past the introduction since I've been busy with work and reading through some books. Keen to suss it out and get sucked in when I've run out of shit to read though.

Same here, just bought all the DLC and replaying the game. Fucking addicted... again.

I finished up honest hearts a couple of days ago. I loved the setting/story but some of the quests were lame.
Now I'm playing through the lonesome road and so far it's the best thing to ever happen to fallout. Great loot. Great story. Awesome scale/setting.

I'm keen for a Fallout 4 but Bethesda really needs to step up their game storywise, especially after Skyrim. The main stories and shit are always so cardboard thin and they could do so much with the lore that TES and Fallout both have. I'd love for TES to take a more Game of Thrones direction and throw in some twists and turns and actual interesting plot events. Fallout doesn't suffer nearly as bad from it as the others but the main quests in New Vegas and 3 could have been less static. I remember the fight on Hoover Dam and just thinking "Is this how the game is supposed to end?" the fight with the Powder Gangers at the start was more dramatic.

Sorry for the nerd rant but I have a bone to pick with Bethesda's storytelling.

bought the Uncharted double pack and was enjoying the first game until i ran into a room that has no apparent way out and i've looked for a couple hours. i know it's something stupid that hasn't dawned on me yet but the fact that that could happen in a game is frustrating so i don't even care anymore. so i've mainly just been playing forza 4.

I actually liked the linear approach, with everything divided into chapters.

That was pretty good, yeah. Just wanted to play more when it ended. Kinda expected some sort of rise to power mission or getting out or anything.

Went out today and bought a couple games. I got Metroid: The Other M, Twilight Princess(GameCube), and the Orange Box for 360. Really excited to play The Other M. I've been railing on Team Fortress all night though. So fun. I'm about to pick up Metroid II and Final Fantasy VI for GameBoy on Saturday and both of the Left 4 Dead games. Lemmy damn I love video games.

been playing a lot of NHL 12 and GTA4.

I have been wanting to play MVP Baseball 05 and GTA San Andreas again but my monitor only has HDMI and VGA inputs. Has anyone tried any A/V to VGA converters? From what I can find online, a/v to hdmi is not an option. Any other ways to connect my ps2 to the monitor?

The problem though is that they created too many motion gimmicky tasks throughout the game where it should've just been used to battling and some stuff like in Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess is the better game. I still loved Skyward Sword, but I'd say it's my least favorite major console 3D Zelda game (below Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, Link to the Past, Twilight Princess, and Wind Waker)

DUDE THIS.

I've said this several times to all of my friends: Skyward Sword is an oversized Nintendo DS game. The story and adventuring suffer because the game is so centered around "cool mechanics" (gimmicks)

Anyways, I have the Witcher 2 and I am just before the part with the kayran. Does this game get any better? It was really cool at first, but dealing with townsfolk and shit is actually boring instead of intriguing.

agreed. Sometimes I forget there is more to new Vegas then walking around and looting everything. The main story missions are never fleshed out enough.

Five has been pretty good so far but I'm eager to start six because I've heard it's suppose to be just as good if not better than seven. I still remember when I was a kid and I made it to the last portion of the second disc on seven only to start up the ps1 on a weekend and find that my file was gone due to a corrupt memory card error :smt010 Ive hard the hardest time bringing myself to invest any serious time into an rpg since that day. Fuck. That.
