I easily have the best fantasy team i've ever had. I can't believe it considering my first pick was 9th. I went all pitching up front but some great hitters went in the late rounds.

C - Posey
1B - Freeman
2B - Ackley
3B - Zimmerman
SS - Castro
2B/SS - Walker
1B/3B - Bonifacio
OF - Swisher
OF - Bourjos
OF - Cespedes
OF - Morgan
OF - Tabata
UTIL - J. Montero

SP - Verlander
SP - Halladay
SP - Moore
SP - Strasburg
SP - Chapman
RP - Adams
RP - Robertson
RP - Clippard
RP - Venters

BE - K. Morales
BE - Revere
BE - L. Martin

Took a flyer on some odd players. Cespedes, Chapman and with my final pick, Leonys Martin. I have no idea if he'll contribute this season.

totally piped on fantasy this year.

Youre pitching staff is insane, although your OF could use some work. Still, a great team!

I definitely slept on outfielders. All the power was gone so I took Bourjos, Morgan and Tabata for the stolen bases, Swisher for the average and 20 homeruns and Cespedes.... for the hype. Hoping he can do something special.

I feel like Bourjos is going to have a great season overall this year, expecially with stolen bases. Cespedes is a great gamble too.

And if things dont work out for the OF you have 4-5 pitchers that would get you two great OF in a trade!

Yeah definitely. Also, it's a keeper league, so grabbing Moore and Strasburg was really important to me.

Def ... Moore and Strasburg are both going to have killer seasons ... Cant wait to see how Moore does this year!

Also, dost thou get Holds as part of your points. I see Adams and Venters and figuring you do?

I pulled an amazing bullpen out of the garbage heap. I didn't even take my first bullpen guy until round 17.

17th round (#201) Mike Adams
18th round (#208) David Robertson
21st round (#249) Tyler Clippard
23rd round (#273) Johnny Venters

2011: 315 IP, 374 K, 1.55 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 139 Holds

I'd rather take reliable ERA and K's (and Holds when they count) from a reliever over a lackluster once a week pitching option. They've helped my fantasy leagues every year.

I waited until my last 2 draft picks for a RP. The thing about RP is you can't count on them year after year. Also you can always find a few on the WW to pick up as the season goes on .

anyone want to participate in a hall of shame fantasy league? it's pretty much a reverse league where you are rewarded by having the shitty players.

example-
batting:
HR -10 points
strikeouts 1 point
GIDP 10 points

pitching:
wins -10 points
balk 20 points

auto-drafted Rivera and Papelbon and K-Rod last year. hated it at first. dug it when I only last on saves one week out of the season, and usually won ERA.

into that shit-league.

Without knowing what your team looks like it seems like a nice deal but you probably should not have traded Papelbon. If you look at the deal this way, Reyes and Crawford for Lee and Andrus, is a fair deal for both sides. I'm not a fan of Crawford this year. Last year soured me on him and the fact he is having issues with his wrist this Spring, it was a smart move to trade him. Hopefully you have saves from someone else so you don't lose in that category.

My RPs now consist of like tier 3 or lower. My idea is that at least 1 of my 4 RPs will do well and I'll work out the other. Reyes isn't going to have a great year like last year imo. Andrus will not be as good but he wont be that far behind. Also Reyes injury problems concern me as do Crawfords. Pap will have more save chances in Philly but wont be as good as last year. He will be good but not great. Crawford was my 4th OF option. Don't care much about letting him go.

I don't see how Reyes/Crawford for Lee/Andrus is even close to a fair deal for both sides. Reyes will play great, for maybe a little more than half the season. Crawford isn't even going to be ready opening day and there's the question of whether or not he is just terrible now. Then there is Lee, one of the best starting pitchers in all of baseball and Andrus, who is still a top 10 shortstop because of his speed and decent hitting.

Lee + Andrus!
steal might have been pushing it, but between the injury risk of Reyes and saves not being too hard to replace... yeah!

also everyone should check out:
http://www.fanduel.com
it's like fantasy baseball where you pick a different lineup (or different lineups) every day, and the users on the site who got the most total "points" win some of what's in the pot.
did it for a couple of weeks last year and it was really fun. + i won a bit of money.
