i wear a US11 in the both the101 postman oxford and the 3141 chukka, although ideally i should have went with a 11.5 in the latter. US12 in most sneakers.

The chukkas fit a bit smaller than the regular boots, which model are you looking to buy?

Yeah, each style will fit differently from last to last. For instance, the Iron Ranger is built on last 8 - every shoe built on last 8 will have that same volume.

Very satisfied w my Warehouse 800's tho.

The best brand. My 1001xx were my first Japanese pair, and my current 1002 (Lee repros) are probably my all time favorite.

IH look great donuts

Yeah Sugarcane 1947's are absolutely great. Those and Samurai 1947-style ones are awesome... though after about three years I'm still breaking in the Samurai 21 oz. pair. They're like tar paper.

That looks great. I realized how much I love red and darker shades of purple over the past couple years so I have lots of stuff in my closet along those lines. Nothing as nice as an IH flannel though. Looking to buy a nice sweatshirt for this winter finally (I'm in the mid-atlantic so that and another layer is really all I would need even on the coldest days.) I'll probably go Buzz Rickson because the measurement look right and I dig Toyo, we'll see though.

The ultra heavy flannels are really something else, they aren’t cheap but it’s an investment as I’ll have them forever. I picked up a nice loopwheeled sweatshirt from Stevenson Overalls last winter, it’s superb and really thick. The Strike Gold ones are also meant to be great. Can’t go wrong with Buzz though.

i have two buzz sweatshirts (gave one to my gf who wears it to bed now...) but they are super-cropped because they of the pattern/cut. i'm 6'1 and it sits way above my belt. just a heads up. personally i prefer RC and W+H for plain sweatshirts but they are nowhere near as bombproof as toyo.

Bought a pair of these a year ago. Super comfortable and look great. Plus the first pair of trousers that haven't blown out the crotch in a long time.

Sugarcane manufactures for IH, not saying it's the exact same fabric, but you can get a heavyweight flannel at half of the price from Sugarcane.

Toyo makes Sugar Cane, Buzz Rickson, etc. Their sewing factories make clothes now for a ton of other brands as well. Some IH clothes might be constructed in those sewing factories... maybe. IH’s fabrics are undoubtedly unique. Sugar Cane does not manufacture IH. Saying Sugar Cane manufactures anything isn’t even really accurate to begin with.

I was just under the impression that the material used in IH flannels is manufactured where Toyo makes the Sugar Cane flannel fabric - totally could be wrong.

I think I misunderstood your first post a little, something like that is entirely possible. 'x' fabric mill could make a certain fabric for both brands under the same roof, but each would certainly be to the respective brands specs. The rest of the process would be done elsewhere and with different practices/QC standards. It would be nice if there were more transparency in that regard, but it's whatever. The amount if MIJ stuff that's actually made in China is apparently pretty staggering.

Anyone want an XL Levi’s is trucker jacket? It’s the ‘rigid’, and I machine washed it once. Never worn other than trying it on. Price negotiable, I just have no use for it.

vtbte - yeah, totally understand that. That's what I meant. I wasn't insinuating in any way that they're exactly the same. We stock Sugarcane and are awaiting our FW from IH - I'll let you know how they both compare side by side if you're interested.

I just snagged up the Type II from LVC since Cone Mills is leaving..

Everyone and their mom wear Carhartt beanies, but I've always hated the fit of those anyway. I hate the "lazy beanie" look so if I wear those normally there's so much space at the top that it looks like a KKK wizard hat.

So, any suggestions for nice unlabeled beanies that will sit normally on my dome? I don't want to spend the money on a cheap Thrasher one only to rip the tag off, ya know?

the carhartt ones that don't fold up on the bottom are way more comfortable anyway

I have a fat head, and just want a nice beanie that sits well, and doesn't cover my ears. But also doesn't look stupid from having to fold the bottom up too high. :smt012

fresh tip for any Canadians in here if you are looking for a short beanie that doesn’t cover the ears hit up your local Army and Navy, they sell a bunch of acrylic ones that are made in Canada but they are a dollar each. I always buy a couple at the start of the season. Def want to get a wool watch cap again. My last one from Draught Dry Goods got puked in because I left it in my buddies car, then he washed it and it became a yarmulke, thing was so warm though

To each their own, I personally don't like the look.

I like the ones that look shorter, and cover the top of my head only. Rocked one last night with the sherpa at Disneyland and got all the looks :smt047
