General discussion, shows, and everything else.

Went to the MoMA today and checked out the “is fashion modern?” Exhibit, very cool if anyone is interested in it. The 1947 501s were great to see, want to try and pick up a pair at some point.

For watch caps/touques, I go with the US made all-wool joints you get from ebay/amazon/milsurp places. $20, super warm, doesn't feel terrible when you lose one, and they're not massive. I've had a few shrink when I've let my gf do my laundry, but they're still wearable on my massive head - and so short that they don't need to be folded. I use those ones for work.

Regarding Buzz sweaters - I was looking at those guys but I had much easier access to Real McCoys. The baseball sweater is my go-to now, leaving my Toyo Made-In-Canada random thrift sweater to sit in my closet and gather dust. the Baseball sweat is heavy, kinda feels raw, and breaks in really nice. Also fits my frame better than what I imagine Buzz stuff does. Bit tight around my incredibly powerful forearms, but stretched out nicely there. I'm 6'2 41Rish btw.

Got to break out my summer purchased Alpha N3B today. Waxed cotton ripstop, but the waxing is wicked light on it. I kinda wanna reproof it. Price tag said $300, but as soon as I picked it up the owner of the shop said "I'll give it to you for $125", which he immediately regretted once he realized I would have been willing to pay much more. Good steal. Fits nice. Size L but fits like a Japanese L, not like a US Milspec L.

Anyway, feelin real good about my fits in this weather, even when I'm at work I feel like a lil fashionbug. Nike sweats on top of Red Wings with a Carhartt chore. Real chic dirtbag.

Now I'm not using my phone I can reply properly.

The beanies you mention are the best for the price, I have a think wool one that's lasted for years. My Buzz Rickson one is good, as it's not wool so I can wear it all the time but not as thick.

Whilst The Real McCoy's isn't cheap, it's a case of buying something once and then owning it for years. They only get better with age also, I have a zip up loop wheel hoodie from them and it's amazing. The thickness & quality is among the best I've had, along with Iron Heart.

I haven't got the 25th Ann Chore yet but hoping it's thick enough to keep me warm here, I still want the N1 but can't justify spending that much at the moment. Maybe if it gets really cold then I'll cave into the temptation.

Looking for jean recommendations. I've been wearing Levi's 501 STF for the last few years. I'm looking for something similar fitting, but with a more tapered leg and maybe a tad slimmer.

re: beanies, i probably own about 10 but my favourite is a navy wtaps one i bought during my first trip to japan in coolmax and a random $5 acrylic from a local department store (australian equivalent of walmart). i wish coolmax was used more often as it breaths amazingly well too. i do have some in 100% wool (including a norse one which fits perfectly) but they tend to make my forehead itch like crazy as i have eczema. it reminds me that the first supreme thing i bought was a beanie from the hideout (RIP) during a UK visit in 2007, although i should have sold it + every other hat i owned for stupid money when it blew up due to tyler/i don't really listen to rap. they all just sit in a box at the back of my closet now.

Yup, I love mine. Like I said I got two pairs, both are awesome. I wear Carhartt's 80% of the time and these are a much better fit because of a slimmer leg. However I need to get like 3" hemmed off the bottom.

So what's up with online sales for this weekend? Blue In Green has 20% off sitewide (up to 30% if you drop serious cash) which I'll probably take advantage of. Levis has 40% off sitewide (couldn't get it to work on LVC though). Jcrew is doing 40% too. 25% off at Ebbets.

Bagged this $60 rugby for like $37- highly recommended for anyone on the fence, material is thick and it's really well made. Might grab the grey/ burgundy and black ones too.

Been a real big fan of flannels lately, not trying to go broke for one though. I had a maroon/black Vans one that got a mystery hole in it somehow and I'm sad about it.
