i honestly have never understood this sentiment about daiya's cheese. they were the first brand that tasted good to me. very bummed about them being bought out and will probably start scaling back on their stuff especially now that follow your heart's cheese doesn't taste like shit anymore.

that said, their frozen pizzas are still the fucking bomb.

Cheddar, Moz, and Pepperjack have a new "Cutting Board" formula. I think it tastes good, but I've never been a Daiya hater. I would love it if the Follow Your Heart shreds melted better, but they suck for most melty things we've tried. I would also love to buy more of the alternative nut cheeses, but that gets pricey.

I'm with you. FYH and the last cashew-based shreds of mozzarella I got both tasted great, but didn't melt for shit.

$30/lb for vegan cheese is a joke. There should be a company out there doing it a la Just Mayo, but it's still a niche so they'll just take people's money.

I may have posted it a while back, but my wife makes this *cheese sauce that is basically potatoes and carrots.
It has the consistency of like, 7-11 nacho cheese and is bomb if you put jalapenos in it too.

I'll see if I can find the recipe to post here

So, with my parents in town, I decided to go to a spot with good pizza that uses Daiya. They were out when I got there, but I asked if I could grab some from the grocery store next door if they'd make it, and they obliged. No shreds in stock, so I grabbed Chao slices... and damn that was a good pizza.

From the few times I've had voilife, its been incredible..I've been meaning to make the trek out to a new vegan market (in boyertown for pa people) that carries it and get the parm.

Chao is 100% the best brand readily available at most stores. Cold on hoagies, melted on pizza, used in mac and cheese..its always so good!!!!

I ate some field roast mexican chipotle sausage links last night and they were hitters. Really spicy and filling. I felt like I ate a brick after the first one.

The Field Roast headquarters and factory are here so we get everything right away. The vegan grocery store here carries all of their products and is the first to sell the new stuff.
