Someone start this one off good by throwing out a sweet and easy recipe for fake fish. I can't stand all these veg. recipes with like 18 ingredients, and 20 steps.

all from my blog:

vegan pancakes:
1 cup white or pastry flour ( pastry flour makes them more thick and dense, kinda more cake-like)
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup of soy milk ( i use the Silk "very vanilla" kind)
to make em peanut butter:
add at least 1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter ( little more wont hurt)
also add 1/2 cup more soy milk so the mix retains consistency

also add vegan chocolate chips, bananas, any sort of tasty shit...it works.

mix all the stuff together till not lumpy
pre heat a skillit and melt a little bit of vegan butter or small bit of veg oil to coat pan
keep heat low, as to not burn them
cook first side till the middle bubbles through, flip cook 2nd side about 1-2 mins total.

Freeze tofu before using it. Changes the texture to extra delicious.

Corn starch and liquid smoke are your best friends.

I've found one on a blog recently that I'm most likely going to be making sometime within this coming week. Maybe you'd like to try it out too? It's Seitan and broccolini with clementine teriyaki.

Guess I'll post this again in here: my girlfriend (The Princess of Pastry, which possibly/hopefully makes me a Prince by default) and her boss at Horizons applied to be on the Food Network's Cupcake Wars (to show that Chef Chloe broad how it's done) The person who took their application loved it, theyre just waiting to hear back from the higherups as to when/if they'll get on the show.

I recently went vegan after being vegetarian for a few years. Question: Should I assume all products are tested on animals unless labeled "this product was not tested on an animal..." etc?

Also, my work has the best vegan carrot cake! SODAS:FDASL:FK SOOOO GOOD! :smt007

basically.

caringconsumer.com for a comprehensive list of who does and who doesnt. For all their shortcomings(and there are many) PETA is good for something.

I have been using that recipe for a while, don't remember where I found it though. BUT. I made them a few days ago with wheat flour and brown sugar, added some blueberrys. Holy shit they were great. The batter was a lot thicker, so it took a little longer to cook through, made fewer pancakes, but they were thicker. But damn, it was a good twist. But yeah, perfect example of a simple but good vegan recipe.

Consider me not vegan or w/e, but I usually don't have a problem with honey, and I would think beeswax falls near that category. Maybe I'm just a vegetarian who doesn't eat or use any other animal products with the exception honey, ohhh welllllll.

andyrussian recommended j/a/s/o/n brand shampoo, sea kelp scent and i have never used anything else. it sounds gross but smells very good. also if you want to smell like a real man get some Herban Cowboy (Organic Grooming) dusk scented bar soap and/or cologne.
