Get out of work in East LA at 4 and you need to make it to Cal Poly by 5? Never in a million years will you make it to class.

My buddy moved out here permanently from London. Gonna be taking him on a tour of Downtown, Hollywood, West LA. I'm actually pretty excited to be a tour guide and gonna use this opportunity to see some stuff that I've never seen living here my entire life.

I'm booking a new spot downtown perfect for hardcore and punk shows and have a completely open calendar. Low stage, no security. Has a bar/outside area. Let me know if any bands are interested

I did the commute for 3 days not that long ago and I got there faster than my regular commute to the west side (even though it was further)

yeah, right off W Pico a couple blocks from Robertson. We are going to the Unique Market downtown and I think that is the only actual plan. Hoping to watch the UFC fights 12/2 if anyone has a recommended bars for that.

Im in Palms, so only a couple blocks from there. My favorite spot to buy beer is right by you. Vendome. Awesome liqour store off of Robertson.

Best spot to watch the UFC fights on that Saturday would be The Garage in Palms. It will be free to get in and usually they run 4 dollar beers during the fight. Most other places will charge for the fights unfortunately. Other places you should hit in Culver City / Palms are ...

Fathers Office (awesome tap list, get the burger)
Wildcraft (Sourdough pizza, super good)
City Tavern (good tap list, but pricey)
Blind Barber (fun speakeasy, good drinks)
Backstage (karaoke bar, really cheap drinks)
Akasha (awesome food in downtown culver)

Shepard Fairey is having his Damaged exhibit right now, which is really cool in downtown https://obeygiant.com/damaged-opens-la-1111/

La Cita on Friday afternoons has Angry Hour which is punk rock and hardcore with cheap beers. Every Friday from 4-9pm

Chargers play the Browns this weekend at Stub Hub center. Kinda far, but tickets are dirt cheap on Stub Hub right now.

The Beach should be nice this weekend. Just grab a 12 pack of beer and head out and lay down on the sand in Santa Monica. Take the train from Palms or Culver City station in there.

If you want recs outside of Culver City or Palms Im sure others can add in too.

We should just create a long list of recs based on food / drinks / shit to do in this thread for people visiting.
