You can humanize him a little, without ever having him look weak, by putting him up against the authority.

He needs to look a little human at times if they're turning him,

Yeah actually. He's always yelling at the GMs for not giving him suitable competition.

Now whether he'd consider Shane competition...

I think about this a lot. Idk if it’s expectation associated with the WWE main events, the over saturation of matches between most of these guys, the style WWE is telling their guys to adhere to or just the last of the old guard at the top of the WWE roster being actual ass, but WWE ppv’s tend to leave more to be desired and the takeover ppv’s seem to always deliver.

Yeah it’s that over saturation of the main roster guys. I don’t think ANYBODY wants to see Baron Corbin anymore, it’s not good heat, it’s XPac heat. Meanwhile the NXT guys are fighting for a spot. They’re fresh. And they’re having perfect matches on those Takeover shows. It’s not all overbooked and ridiculous. You’d think you could move guys up and it’d freshen up the main roster. Problem is, they move guys up to the main roster and then they don’t really give them a real spot. Nakamura last night, does that REALLY count? Like are we still trying to convince ourselves that he’s getting a chance? He gets his cool entrance, crowd pops for him (booking doesn’t give a FUCK about what the crowd thinks), and then he gets buried.

NXT had a Power Trip song as a theme song. The main roster had a 2017 Kid Rock song as a theme song.

That PPV outside of the Brock/AJ match did nothing for me at all. It was like, who gives a fuck if the Usos beat the Bar or vice versa? The only thing anyone had a reason to fight for was Kurt getting fired and that didn't really seem like a big deal during the ppv. I didn't watch the preshow at all but was Owens/Zayn vs Breezango at least funny?

Owens and Zayn’s promo was good. The match was fine not enough comedy though. I think I liked Enzo/Kalisto best of all the pre-show matches. Might have been Enzo’s best match so far.

I think the over saturation of the product in general is a big part of it. The Takeovers are always incredible because the build is two or three months and then the shows usually feature matches that we haven't seen a million times between guys that have a believable feud, like Black vs Dream and Almas vs Mcintyre from last night.

IMO there's not really anything appealing about a survivor series match unless there's some added stipulation. Why would any of those guys give a shit if Kurt Angle gets fired? There's nothing in it for any of them. That's why the Rumble is so popular, it's a unique match that has a defined reward for winning attached to it and there's constant potential for surprises.

Gonna be real heated/bummed if they take the title off of Almas quickly. I know there's a big chance they will (lol), just hoping they don't. I enjoy what they have going with him so far.

This is my big qualm with it. I cannot fathom ANYONE gives a fuck about the artificial rivalry of Raw vs Smackdown. Not kids, not casual fans, not smarks, nobody. There is absolutely no reason to care. And you knew the matches were just gonna split 3-3 so one of the shows could "win" the night after the 10-man. So beyond dumb.

Alvarez had a neat idea which was that the winning show should get #s 16-30 in the Rumble

That at least gives everyone in the ring a sense of purpose

I like him but he isn’t a heavyweight ACE.

The crowd was really behind him on the 11/11 show against Tanaka and the attendance for the Global League final was pretty good by NOAH standards. He may not be the Ace level right now, but I think he’s the best choice at the moment.

The Marufuji/Sugiura vs Sekimoto/Nomura match from the same show was outstanding. Check that shit out.

The ones that Raw got aren't even good lol I do like Paige tho

But yeah, Crazy Mary Dobson and Heidi Lovelace, IWA Mid South for life. Say what you want about Ian Rotten, he stocked WWE rosters a whole lot better over the years than NXT's trainers ever have

They used to get paid in weed, now they get paid by Vince McMahon

Elgin vs Riddle @ BOLA Night 2

WHEW! it looked like a exhibition match in WWF No Mercy. Elgin is so smooth, every thing he does actually looks perfect. Matt Riddle sells like RVD in 1999 and i love it.
