On one hand, I bet that that pairing is on a lot. On the other, I bet it is just reduced to a novelty. Ugh.

I don't get it. If you're going to make sure to point out that he's Curt's kid, why change Joe Hennig's name?

Those names are either ribs or a not so subtle "don't get too big for your britches" message for the 3rd generation guys, its the only thing that makes sense... I mean, you know a guy named "Michael McGuillicutty" ain't winning this thing. And who knew next season would be a comedy? Wacky names, potentially wacky LayCool/Low Ki hijinks as they act like ditzes and he acts like a stick in the mud, wacky guy who acts like Eddie Murphy as Buddy Love in The Nutty Professor...

I'm actually pretty excited for this next season, ha. I feel like they may have learned from mistakes (last few weeks haven't had challenges or whatever), plus I'm looking forward to more interaction between the mentors and the rookies (Zack Ryder could actually be great, at least LayCool and Low Ki could be entertaining, etc.) I dunno, it will probably be a trainwreck, but it should be a very entertaining one.

I think season 1 fixed itself eventually, took way too long but it got on the right track. The pros were hilarious towards the end when they introduced each other. Regal making fun of Otunga for marrying Jennifer Hudson :smt005

Hopefully season 2 has more wrestling and less stupid challenges. And hopefully they let Joe Hennig go by his real name sometime soon.

definitely liked seeing Dragon beat Miz i like 2 minutes, haha. Sounds pretty realistic. i like how he tossed him into Cole after. Clearly keeping everything going, shows me Dragon will be on the regular shows for awhile.

I've stated before that I dont watch any WWE product anymore(though I guess with Low-Ki in the next season of NXT, I have to tune in some more), so I downloaded RAW just to watch that, fastforwarded through everything else, and was happy to see Sydal in the main event and getting the pin in a match featuring two of the top guys (sorry, Sheamus is still one of the worst things I've ever seen in the E and I cant believe they put the fucking belt on him)

I'm currently in the middle of watching PWG As the Worm Turns and it's fucking great so far.

i think they are giving the 2nd and 3rd generation superstars bad names so they can debut again further down the line with names that reflect their lineage. we know this season of NXT will be shorter and i can see low-ki winning the whole thing.

i imagine wwe playing the angle of him working past his size difference and the fact that he has 2 pros that could care less about teaching an actual rookie to win the whole thing.

plus, wwe has no problem with tossing old wrestlers kids in wherever they can so neither rotunda or hennig need to win the competition. to go back to be original point, they could debut on nxt with these lame names, lose the competition, and then debut again sometime with better names and a better angle and not be associated with losing nxt.

I'm glad Wade Barrett won NXT, anyway. I thought for sure Otunga was gonna win and challenge RTruth for the US title at the next PPV.

that said, I'll probably never see any of their matches ever anyway, unless they wrestle Danielson somewhere down the line, since I'm done with WWE.

I love how London is apparently one of the most bitter dudes post-WWE. I heard him shit talk Billy Kidman and I think Matt Hardy along with anyone else I think he could have. It was epic. I need to get this shoot ASAP.

Also, Tell 'Em Steve Dave is easily the best podcast ever.

today i learned kamala isnt from uganda, or africa. a little part of me died.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamala_(wrestler)

but as i got to the bottom of his wikipedia this popped up.

Since 1993, he has been writing, performing, and producing his own music. He has written over 100 songs. Some of his songs discuss his frustration with the working conditions he dealt with in the wrestling industry, most notably the low wages.

i googled a bunch of different combinations of 'james harris kamala music' and found nothing but a myspace music profile with no songs!

http://www.myspace.com/giantkamala

anyone ever heard kamala's music? because i would love to.

I heard two songs. It was awesomely horrible. one was called "Push Kamala" and was about how he had to turn down sexual advances from WWF brass (Im assuming Pat Patterson is one of them)

It's gotta be some of that and some of "ooooooh he wears a mask and jumps around a lot" so little kids can wear masks, jump around on the couch and pretend they're 619'ing Mark Henry or something. God I fucking hate Mysterio.

I'm so glad I was there for most of that. It sucks the E made Rey bulk up, because he truly was at his best when he was one step up from a midget.

It's just funny when they act like his mask is a huge deal traditionally and that he absolutely cannot take it off.

That's what I hate most about him. They've done the "oh no Rey's mask means everything to him" angle FOUR TIMES. And that's just that I remember, it may have been more.

Fuck him, fuck his stupid fucking finishers, fuck the fact that he held the World Title belt. If he was back in WCW wrestling Pyschosis, La Parka, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Dragon and Malenko I back it 100%, but him as a main event guy is utter horseshit.

The best part of his world title reign was the complete lack of reaction from the crowd when he won at that Wrestlemania.

watched the triple cage match the other day. it looked so god damn dangerous, like it was gonna cave in at any moment and they would fall through to the ring.

on the topic of Rey, im glad to see so many others hate him too. the 619 is the absolute worst finisher of all time and if that wasnt bad enough what the fuck is that shitty falling splash he does? motherfucker cant jump or do anything slightly more exciting? i of course liked him in the ecw days and to some extent, the wcw days, but god damn i cannot stand him now.
