I want to go to Lemuria as well but money will be tight by then. I did get a ticket to Fucked Up in March though!

One thing I really need to say is that music in the rest of Oregon... as far as inclusive punk attitudes are concerned, do not exist in Central Oregon. I'll be the stupid white girl on the side trying not to be excited about a pop punk show.

You should have gone to Youth Code last night, that was a blast.

Was that the tour with Code Orange already? I haven't looked up what the dates were for that. But, yeah, they were great when I saw them, too. I don't know why so many people have an issue with them for that Carry On dude being one of their members.

Gotta be more specific.

Favorite things would be dive bars, Laurelhurst and Hollywood Theater, and shows.

I haven't been in forever but Sinferno on Sunday might be up your alley.

Again, not a really easy thing to answer. I would say The Alleyway on Alberta and Pub at the end of the Universe on Gladstone, but those are a 15-20 minute uber ride away from each other (Alberta has some other cool stuff on it, kind of yuppy though, Gladstone not so much, C-bar is close and pretty cool). If you're just visiting and want to do a dive bar pub crawl/night on the town I would say go down Hawthorne hit up Space Room, Bar of the Gods, Angelos, etc. If I was in town for just a weekend and wanted to go out drinking and have fun and talk to locals that's what I would do. Plenty of good places to eat along it too (including A Pizza Scholz which is largely considered the best pizza in Portland), theres a few boring blocks before and after 39th/Cesar Chavez, but a good stretch of bars/restaurants on either side of that.

There's tons of brunch spots, but I'd recommend Jam on Hawthorne or Pine State Biscuits (for both if you want something really good and are willing to wait for it, and I mean really really wait for it). The Lamp if you don't want to wait at all, though their menu changes from incredible to above of alright, but it's a super chill place, super solid bloody mary's and bartenders.

I'm not sure what you define as a dive, but there's B-Side which is next to Sizzle Pie east on Burnside. There's also Hungry Tiger which is right in the area. All the bars here have to serve food or let you bring food in so you'll be fine. There's also Roscoe's in Montavilla. Everything Phil mentioned is pretty legit too.

For brunch there's Vita Cafe on Alberta, or Bar Carlo on Foster.

Visiting Portland in March, what's some cool shit to do? I've been to Portland a bunch but my girlfriend has never been, so I'm trying to branch out and do shit she might enjoy. She's a bit of normie who likes video games and comic books. Probably hitting up Ground Kontrol, Voodoo Donut...

Tony's spot on, B-Side and Hungry Tiger would be another cool area to hang out around tons of good food around there like Nong's Khao Man Gai which is super bomb. From there you could walk to Star Bar, My Father's Place, Union Jack's and Sassy's (the last two are strip clubs).

Back to Hawthorne that I mentioned there's a new barcade right next to Bar of the Gods I forgot to mention, the four person pac-man game is addicting.

The drinks that go with the food do. Crushed up blueberries in vodka lemonade with a sugar rim is dangerously good.

That Lamp is a brunch gem that will have no wait whatsoever, wasn't as good the last time we went cause they always change their menu, but the juevos rancheros they made were the best I've ever had.

this. mango, lavender and grapefruit mimosas. I don't care much for the food, but I've gone there twice recently and sat there for hours until they closed chatting with friends. they don't care if you do that, and that's cool.

my car was stolen from outside of my house in sunnyside two weeks ago. if you see a 2005 silver acura MDX with the license plate BEEZY chillin on your street, that's mine. please call PPD.

I grew up in upstate New York and had less snow by this time of the year most of the time. My work has declared inclimate weather days six times already. I'm guessing it stays above freezing and just pours all day tomorrow. Got my errands done today so I don't have to deal with that.

Got tickets to see Gucci Mane while my girlfriend and I are visiting next month, anyone know if the Moda Center has restrictions on bringing in cameras?

Anything cool to check out around Easter weekend? We're there for a week from the 15-22

edit: should probably also ask if things generally close on religious holidays?

I've just been working out a lot lately, trying to avoid drinking all the time and it turns out I'm not super social without alcohol.

I did catch Asphyx the other night and it was great, Lord Gore are playing a free show at Rose City Strip with Witch Vomit on the 13th.
