Doom's simplistic stuff on those Westside Gunn tracks is incredible. He says so much using so few words, it's great. The verse at the end of Gorilla Monsoon is one of the best verses I've heard all year

Post Malone's first album was panned by critics and fans alike. Why is he making another one? Dude demonstrated more talent on that obscure Youtube channel he was on 7 years ago.

GOAT is violent as piss, moreso than usually imo. But I thought it would be Conway's big Shady Records real debut. This feels (is) more of a free tape released as a Christmas present for fans. A bit disappointing but still harder than most things out there.

and the Prodigy collab is still amazing :smt035

Westside Gunn and Conway are on literally every major fest that was announced in the past week. I'm sure the fact that Eminem is headlining all those fests has everything to do with it (inexplicably; I dont understand why so many people care about him in 2018), but good for them that theyll get that exposure. I'm sure Benny will be in tow too.

Whats westside guns best project? Ive only heard his song with Action Bronson. His flow/delivery really seemed unique and appealling but ive never given them a proper listen

They have pretty much just been flooding the internet with material for the past what, 2 or 3 years? So it's hard to pick a starting point. A lot of their best stuff IMO is just singles that they released here and there that didn't end up on proper projects.

If you're listening to full projects, even though people seem to talk about Westside Gunn more, I think Conway has the better full projects. I'd listen to Conway - Reject 2 to start off. But the Conway - GOAT mixtape that just came out is really good too. Westside Gunn - Flygod really good too. Anything that they do that's produced by Daringer, listen to it. that's like their in-house producer guy, he's like one of the main reasons their shit is so good. His beats remind me of Alchemist but Daringer is less technical, more raw. And he doesn't sound like he is like influenced by all the current rap producers at all. New rap sounds like pop, Daringer makes rap beats.

between that and the john river health situation, it's been a couple sad days for rap eh.

as close as we'll probably ever get to a black hippy album.

honestly, i'd be cool with a kendrick-q-isaiah-sza tour but i guess soul and rock open up the opprotunity for every dope feature they've done with each other to be performed.
