I agree, I think it's still pretty good. Doesn't hold a candle to the first two, but it's not bad at all.

I like Alien 3. Would've loved to see the version David Fincher wanted to make.

Man, this thread slowed down in November. Caught a showing of "Better Watch Out" today. It was way darker than I expected. Definitely watch it if you're into things like The Strangers, You're Next, Home Alone, etc. The twist was a little predictable, but it still got darker than I expected. Loads of "Chekhov's guns" that were a little too obvious.

Also caught "Tragedy Girls" recently, it was a lot of fun, but overall it wasn't the greatest movie. It was a little too on the nose for my tastes, but it never took it self seriously at all, so it was still enjoyable.

Watched Prom Night 2 the other night and enjoyed it much more than i wanted to. So very campy but entertaining. Been watching the Silent Night Deadly Night films, should i even bother watching the third and fourth?

I think I actually might be one of the few people who liked Prom Night 2 more than the first. Then again, I watched both for the first time last month, so that could change over time.

I think the one thing against Prom Night is that it's a pretty fairly slow moving slasher for the time.

My wife and I decided to fill in a ton of holes in the Italian horror we've seen. We both have seen a bunch of the Argento and Fulci ultra basics, but we wanted to get a little more in the weeds.

It's been a fun trip the past couple weeks. Here's what we watched (all first time, except one I had seen before that she had not):

-Black Sunday
-Blood on Black Lace
-Bay of Blood
-Nightmare City
-Cat O' Nine Tails
-Opera
-Red Queen Kills Seven Times
-StageFright* (I had seen this one before)

This weekend we're gonna watch Death Walks on High Heels for sure, not sure what else is immediately on tap.

Caught John Carpenter at the beginning of the month and it was great. Definitely a must for all horror fans

Did a double feature of Slaughter High and Night School last weekend and they paired great together. Slaughter High Is pretty much what I remembered - goofy, trashy, fun. Night School was a first time watch for me and man, what a gem. If you’ve never seen it, do yourself a favor. The new Warner Archive blu is fantastic.

S. Craig Zahler is such a great up and comer. Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99 were both so good. This dude is gonna get some huge R rated comic book movie at some point.

It's called Dragged Across Concrete, it stars Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn. They play cops who are suspended after their act of police brutality gets the attention of the public eye. In order to make ends meet, they descend into the criminal underworld.

Last day of B&N's Criterion sale, and I'm trying to think of any horror-related titles that I can pick up. Only ones I've seen from em are The Brood, Rosemary's BAYBAYYYYYY, Repulsion, and Videodrome. Any suggestions d00ds?

Going to a double feature of Silent Night Deadly Night and Terror Time tonight. I think Silent Night is a legitimately great slasher, but I've never seen Terror Time. Either way, the beer will be cheap and flowing, so I'm looking forward to it.

Shyamalan had Tales from the Crypt, until legal mumbo jumbo made TNT pull the plug. Bryan Fuller is working on Amazing Stories for Apple of all places.

I haven’t ordered from rotten cotton in years but I seem to remember them taking a long time to ship. Can anyone who’s ordered from them more recently confirm that? Wanted to order a few shirts but concerned they wouldn’t show up for Xmas.

I've ordered from them a number of times over the past few years and shipping has always been pretty quick, and I think if there was an issue where it wouldn't be, I got an email letting me know.
