seeing this thread so seldomly used makes me so sad

bought a ss/bs TAFM for use in a new band I'm playing in on bass. still trying to find my way around it, but at least it's very easy to make it sound presentable

bought a Peavey Mark III after wanting one for years. sounds cool on guitar but I haven't tried it with a bass yet. talk about guitar stuff that isn't dorky or annoying

There's a Sovtek Mig 50 locally listed for $350 and seems in good shape. I don't have too much extra money right now but would it be worth getting and if I didn't like it I could maybe flip it?

I feel like that's about what they'd go for, maybe a little more than that? if you can swing it and not hurt yourself, do it. try to talk the person down. but be prepared to sit on it if it comes to that

When I searched for them online they all seemed to be going for $550-600 but don't know how quickly it would sell. I'll probably pass though.

I need a new amp. Help.

I play my Les Paul Studio in a "crusty" hardcore band, and I play my Jazzmasters in my weirdo project, but I want an amp that can cover both. Using an OCD for most of my dirt tones.

Was looking at the Blackstar HT Studio 20, the Mesa Rectoverb 25, and at an AC15HW1X.

Currently playing out of an AC30CC2X that needs a retubing, but not sure if I even want to keep it yet.

Twin Reverb & Roland JC-120 or bust. Run your amp clean and use pedals for everything else.

I was looking at a Deluxe Reverb, but I don't think I could make a JC-120 work for a Tragedy-esque heavy tone.

Feeling this. I have two Gibsons now and zero active bands.

If i remember correctly they had some QC issues a few years ago where shitty made cabs were being shipped out. Some new employees and interns were blamed.

emperor has been gone a few years. one dude started another company for a bit. the cabs were all hype anyway, built fine but the wiring and construction of those 6x12s everyone wanted was dumb. idk never got the appeal besides supporting fellow fringe music dudes, but i then you risk the sketchiness i guess.

I use a Concert Lead, it is the only solid state guitar amp that I like besides the Roland Jazz Chorus. Loud as hell.

we use the old peavey supreme 160s, but we're a bit closer to metal than the punk realm of HC. can usually find them cheap.

Bought an MIJ Squier bullet bass yesterday. Sounds and plays awesome, and I love the look of the television headstock on a bass.

Sunn beta Lead or beta bass. I've used both for guitar and I love them. Bad Brains used them, Nirvana used them.

I’ve slowly been getting another rig after selling pretty much everything. I currently have an early model NMV V-4 and running that into a JCM 800 cab loaded with G12-80 speakers. I’ve also got a Pharaoh, whiteface Rat reissue and an Orange 2 stroke EQ but haven’t actually sat down and dialed in my amp. I’m just so used to Marshall style amps and setting this amp up has been kinda hard to me since the eq is different and I’ve got the switches to work with.

I wish I never sold my YBA-1A :smt011
