There Will Be Blood or No Country For Old Men

Both nominated for Best Picture the same year.

Both are very good, but I catch myself watching There Will Be Blood much more often, so I'm going with that.

Re: Film Thread

The Paul Thomas Anderson discussion was incredible. Crazy learning about how Jonny Greenwood makes several hours of piano demos for his score. The story of Vicky Krieps stumping Daniel Day Lewis is fucking hilarious.

Re: Film Thread

Not to diss the new Blade Runner, which I loved. It probably shouldn't have been made with a 150 million budget especially since the first movie bombed when it came out and was considered a cult movie. It sucks that it bombed though.

Re: LOS ANGELES - the thread.

I believe everyone was at that Freedom/Lock/Unified Right show at Top Space. My friend who went said there was so many people that the floor was about to break, so they moved it to the basement and a chunk of the top floor fell down and hit someone, so they ended up moving the show in the alley way....

Re: Film Thread

Bomb City was a good fact based drama. For a movie that involves punkers, they at least got the details down to where it's not cringeworthy. GISM patch.....music from Blanks 77, Filth, Blatz, etc.

I forgot to mention this older guy I work with, he usually comes up to me opens up with "Hey Jared, I got a really bad joke for ya". His voice sounds like a mix of that coach from The Waterboy that is hard to understand and Wolfman Jack from American Graffiti. One of his jokes was that he ...

I watched Maitresse yesterday, that is the movie that those 50 Shades garbage wish they could be. It also makes those movies look tame, especially with the gnarly nail scene, made me squirm.
