Re: Misfits Reunion!! - For real this time

They did play a good set. Danzig sounded sick judging by his in between banter, but still gave it his all.

Re: Misfits Reunion!! - For real this time

Yeah, I saw a few people where I was sitting at who had their phones. My friend got her switchblade in and cut a hole in the pouch. The guy I was standing next to claimed that he chewed his pouch

Re: Film Thread

All The Money in the World was pretty decent. The cast is solid, especially Williams and Plummer. I just wished it was more thrilling and had more depth of why Getty is the way that he was.

Spoiler: show
The ear scene was cool though, this lady in the theater lost her shit at that scene

Re: Film Thread

Did anyone else check out Majorie Prime?

I really liked it. Sci fi that is subtle, ambitious and very moving and it Doesn't need special effects or a budget. Lois Smith is really good, same with Jon Hamm. It's what happened if Ozu made a sci fi movie.

Re: Misfits Reunion!! - For real this time

I cant understand them doing that. Must be danzig. They locked up our phones when we saw David Chappelle/Chris Rock @ Radio City which is a bit more understandable. I guess they dont want sources like Pitchfork and shit getting to them? Dave Chappelle is performing at the same venue the day after. ...

Re: Film Thread

Just watched Shoot First, Die Later for the first time. The car chase scenes were pretty sick even by today's standards. The cat death scene was pretty fucked up. Downsizing was decent, easily Payne's worst, but also his most ambitious work to date. Payne didn't know what to do with this interesting premise and it's kind of a mess. Damn, that sucks

Just watched Ava on there, which played at Cannes this year. I liked it a lot, but for a coming of age movie involving a teenage girl about to go blind, there wasn't much of a focus on her gradual lose of sight.
