See, that's my opinion, and my instructors are generally ok with it, but I have even purple belts say no when I ask if they're ok with me going for heel hooks.

Speaking of this, anyone have opinions on when you should start training footlocks in general, and I guess particularly at least getting familiar with heel hooks? In most federations there are. I didn't know till after the finals, and I don't expect the federation to check everyone's name vs college records or anything. If anything it's just testament to the fact I gotta work on my wrestling.

I squatted 465, benched 285, and pulled 435 before I started eating meat. Not that strong, but I was just starting lifting too.

It's very possible to be vegan and lift. I was vegan for 8 years, right when I started powerlifting, and I was able to get stronger. I started eating meat eventually, but as long as you keep your calorie intake up with shit like beans and rice you'll be fine.

IF hasn't shown in any peer reviewed studies (as far as I know) to do anything more than a diet at a caloric deficit. All shit that I've read which espouses benefits has been anecdotal.

Ended up taking 3rd at worlds white belt ultra. Was coming back from a staph infection when I signed up, so I had like 2 weeks to train. Definitely will be super heavy next time around, but I had fun.

I've watched some events on Flo that are perfect quality and great, and some events that are literally unwatchable due to buffering every 5 seconds. Still uncertain if I want to maintain my subscription.

I feel like it depends on the person. I'm way bigger than most people at my gym, and although I'm a white belt I try to roll calm as much as possible. There's one other guy around my size, and everyone always pairs us together, but he spazzes like a mother fucker. I guess he played college foot ball...

My BP went from 140/90 pretty consistently on a normal diet to 128/67 last time I got tested on a keto diet. Cholesterol levels can improve too.
